Don't confuse patience with not getting results. Patience is important but it's also important to know when to pivot. Following your idea blindly is also not a good idea.

There it is from 2:56 - 3:56 This is what i waited so long for to bridge in the gap. Now i get it. When gary talked about being patient, ive always wondered, patient for what? In his youth 22-32 he was patient and didn’t buy things in order to save up and one day invest into something that would multiply his savings. I get it.

@@damanwithdamoney I know this is a year old, off-hand comment, and I take ZERO investment in this so don't think im comin off attackin ya here. But I worked for my pops for 4 1/2 years, I did A LOT more at that job than I was paid for, and ended up leaving because he wouldnt give me the responsibility I so longed for because he doesn't trust my opinion over his. I come from a Hungarian background and my pops is a good dude, raised on a farm..... and he don't give me SHIT. Like, dont get me wrong, he'd always hold it down for me, I know that. But you know how many of my friends think that my dad was just gunna "give" the shop to me one day??? LMFAOO. Bro, I paid MONEY for all the guns I got from my pops at the shop, he did give me one good deal on something I plan to pass down to his grandson (my son) one day like an heirloom. But he is always tryna teach me lessons even though (at the time) I was 20-24. He made a point, in fact of disappointing outcomes because thats just how life is. You don't just get what you want because you're good with someone who has it already. My point is, one day, IF I had stayed there, he would have happily SOLD me his business when he retires. Pops sure as shit never paid my bills a SINGLE DAY after I moved out. I've done a lotta shit to hold it down without asking for help. And they're there if I fall hard and need them, which is great confidence to take risk... But yo his dad is from RUSSIA.... Those ice Commies are tough mfers and I really don't see that tough, stern looking Russian father to be the type to "enable" his son through paying his rent... Also, I know a whole lotta fuckin wastemen who have their parents live their lives for them, their parents pay their rent, why aren't they rich? Fact of the matter is that my friends learned to survive, not thrive. Survival is government assistance living, thriving takes discipline.... A trait not often found in the latter people I speak of. Just wanted to share some of my experience and hope you have a great day today! Heres to you accomplishing your goals this week! Much love :D

He really changed my perspective and how it's important to being a minimalist to get to the place where you want to get to! I started an Amazon FBA business and invested every single dollar into it instead of partying after my post grad studies.

I appreciate Gary's honesty when he talks about the reality of sacrifices again to achieve goals in life. 2:31 Luck is (Laboring Under Correct Knowledge) "What's money? Patience is like money, not that we should want to do something purely for the money, since that is wrong. If you don't have a lot of it now, chances are that you're not going to have it for the long term, or even lose more of it. There are many paths to happiness, it's all about competing against ourselves, since everyone is going to have micro successes and failures. It's how we learn from these and move forward.

Just searched for his first wine show video. He posted it about 12 years ago, and after that he was getting around 1.5k views in every video, some videos even have less than 300 views. He posted over 1000 videos, and he was getting tons of negative comments. However he didn't care.Despite the poor views and hateful comments, he kept going and posting content. My respect for this man just went up by 200%. The guy has been a mastermind even before he was known. Lack of patience, determination and hard work is what really kills people's dreams.

I've kinda developed an eating disorder as a mix from some childhood habits combined with the fact that every dollar I have at any time gets spent immediately as it makes the bar for the next item I need for infrastructure, or to flip and make more money from. I haven't been to a grocery store since about.... 2 months BEFORE lockdown started? I honestly cant remember. I buy energy drinks and loafs of bread from the gas station & peanut butter and thats basically how im gunna obtain Type 2 Diabetes lmfao.... Cuz its not efficient to spend 10 minutes making food and 4 minutes eating it when bread in the toaster takes like 45 seconds prep work and I can get it down to stop hunger pains in like 60 seconds and get back to work on the computer. Take care of yourselves yall, and find the balance between believing and having the confidence youll make it, and how long you can "hold out" for. You've got this, boyyyy.

I would love to meet Gary. My mouth closed and ears wide open. I respect his grind and struggle. He delayed until the time was right . Keep up the great job Gary. Lots of love from Chicago.

Honestly Garry you get me through the day at work! Idk what I would do without your podcast! Listen to you 10-12 hours a day while working, then I get home pumped to do what I love and try and get shit done! One day I hope I get in the phone with you once I’m successful with my hustle. Or even one day get in the phone with you just to talk and get advice would be an absolute blessing. None the less I’m so grateful your a human out here in this world that you actually exist! The level of awareness you give people is unreal . Appreciate all you do! Ps can’t wait to see you own the JETS 🙌🏼

Gary did it his way. You don’t have to do it this way. There are other ways but he shows you his blueprint. To him having no expenses and saving for about 10 years is “not crazy” find your “non crazy” that is crazy to others.. Doing things that nobody else is doing to get the results nobody else is getting

A lot of people quit, expecting that at the start of their business they’ll make something. Growing, life, requires you to stay in the game forever, trial-and-error.

“The only thing I have is energy for the long term!” - GaryVee I love that statement! That needs to be on my mirror reminding me that lasting and staying in the game for the long term takes patience and is key! “Only play the long term!”

No Lie, when I shook your hand in LA at the Vidsummit and asked (my fault the dumbest question) to give me one nugget of wisdom.. you told me patience. LOL pissed me off a little, but WHOA how this was true. Just cause it wasn't what i wanted to hear it was what i needed to hear. Thank you for always cutting out the bullshit. Youre killing the game man. Looking forward to meeting again.
