I run a Feuling vented dipstick. I wonder if I can change that dipstick insert with the Figurati one without losing the vent feature ... 🤔 An option might be to switch the dipsticks every 2500 miles for a 1 hour ride to filter any potential metal scrap out. What do you think?

I would like it to read the temperature also. Years ago on my 1993 Softail Custom I was changing the oil in the transmission and it was silver looking then I removed the dipstick so it would drain better and I found the lower plastic part of the dipstick was missing and the transmission chewed it up so I bought another factory type dipstick but then 🤔 I thought this might happen again so I just put the old one back in as a plug and saved the new one for checking the transmission oil. This bike has a hard mount on the engine which might be the reason it broke.

hhhmm...yeah sounds good...I guess unitl you do that and see how much things of "quality" cost to get made then you really don't have much room to complain about prices. Ive been on this side of having quality parts being made, custom chrome floorboards, designed, CNC cut, chromed and the price was ludicris to just have them made...then I have to make a profit so I can keep making them, oh and also support my family. Dont assume that just because its made for harley someone has marked up the price. Do some research and then maybe you will appreciate the prices a little more instead of unjustly critizing someones prices because YOU personally think it costs too much.

@@ArmeroPR the plastic stock one work as a dipstick...this one literally has a magnet in it removing the particles that pass through your filter. yeah the top looks great but the top doesn't pick up the metal shavings your filter lets pass...the entire video was about a magnetic dipstick...not just a dipstick with a pretty top...its right on the thumbnail picture you see before clicking it.

you shoud look into making your own parts? Concpet development, product development, testing, prototyping, branding, etc then make them cheaper. Custom parts for Harleys aren't for everyone. thanks for checking it out though.

I place a neodymium magnet on the exterior of my oil filter. Cost is $2 on Amazon. It does the same thing. Don’t be fooled by this stupid gimmick.

Magnets on oil filters can cause them to clog up faster because they can catch larger metal particles in the oil. When an oil filter clogs, the engine receives dirty oil because the filter's bypass valve reroutes oil that can't pass through the filter media, which makes for a pretty stupid idea.

Thanks for checking it out Michael. While im a big fan of amsoil in my bike Im also a firm believer that if you change your oil when your supposed to, it doesn't make a huge difference what you run. Most of these "additive packages" are added in for extreme conditions..most of us dont ride in extreme conditions ..ive got a 2014 I serviced in here since he bough it..143k miles on it..always ran syn3 in all 3 holes..not one single issue with that motor. Regular maintenance is the key...put whatever oil you want in there.
