Hi Lisa! Just a quick suggestion on jean organization. I separate by cut. So I separate into: wide legs, stovepipe, bootcut, skinny, kick flare, and cropped. I do that because when I’m making my selection, that is always the criteria that matters.

I have a daughter about the same age as your daughter and she's also starting to show interest in my designer pieces, but only the "vintage ones." 😅 She likes my bags from the late 90s, early 2000s (vintage Dior saddle, prada shoulder bag, LV pochette). I can't believe my stuff is considered "vintage," but here we are. 😄

Ordered Prada foundation in 50N and it truly is wonderful...lightweight, natural, easy to apply, enough coverage for me and I love, love, love it.

L'Occitane hand cream is THE best! Smells divine, easily absorbed and doesn't leave your hands feeling tacky. Love a lot of their products 😊

Ive been using Merle Norman since 1976! I use the eyeshadow in Mink which is a brown shade and the eyeliner in teak.

My grandma worked in a dress shop in her little town here in Texas. They sold Merle Norman and she taught me all about makeup and skincare using their products. Such happy memories!

Merle Norman is amazing. My mom introduced me to it YEARS ago. I would use it on and off. I broke out really bad one year, not sure if it was weather, hormones, anyway, I went back to using it and omg it cleared me up completely. I haven’t used it in years but I will always have love for it.

Love that you are nostalgic and share with us!!! My Mom had beautiful skin she would always do a Merle Norman miracle facial and always had the pink cleansing balm on her bathroom counter. The store we went to always had pretty vanity sets for your lipsticks, compacts, brush mirror sets, and jewelry cases. Merle Norman has wonderful cosmetics and skincare to this day! XO

Yes! This was the only makeup I used as a teen! So nostalgic! I had everything- they had cool products back then(80’s) it was the only cosmetics available in my tiny town! I haven’t used any of their products in years but a great memory! L’occitane is one of my favorite brands of all time! Especially anything Almond- the entire almond line is superb!

When my granddaughter was 10 we were playing with my jewelry. Just in rambling conversation she asked if she could have all of my gold jewelry when I died. Instantly, she looked horrified when she realized what she’d said. She is the sweetest, kindest girl so my reaction was to laugh until I cried. I told her she would get plenty of my jewelry and all my old jeans. The second part made her laugh.

I agree! Everlane isn't exciting but the quality is wonderful. It's sustainable style. I have a gorgeous linen top that I think my daughter will wear one day, it's held up so nicely. Also basic sweaters with great material.

Hi Lisa, regarding the pain in your arm after your shot, I saw something on the news about pain after the shingles shot. Someone they interviewed said their doctor told them specifically to move their arm a lot right after the shot before the next day, and that did help that person not have any pain in her arm at all. I hope this helps🌸

Your Prada foundation looks lighter on the warm side than on the neutral which I found surprising. Is it good for combo skin oily t zone? Does it blur and not settle into lines?

We used to say Merle (sounds like Maryl) Norman back in the 70’s and 80’s around here in South Louisiana. We also used to say Ralph Lah RYn. I know you get it. I guess we were trying to sound extra fancy. Idk. 😊

In case Lisa doesn't see this I wanted to just give you a few tips that have helped me, and I think Lisa would agree with as she has put many of things into place in her own hair care journey :) 1) research your area and find a stylist who specialises in blondes, failing that, find someone who comes highly recommend by other women who are blonde. After a ga-zillion stylists I have come to the conclusion... not everyone can do blonde well. 2) go in for a consult, there will likely be a fee but most good salons will take that fee and deduct it from your first appointment. The consult allows for the stylist to do test swatch, and really understand your hair and the history of your hair. I've discovered the hard way, boxed colours do a real # on the hair and this will cause something called "banding" , if you've ever coloured your hair (any colour) be sure to tell your stylists, and old pics of what colour your hair was also help them. Getting a good blonde isn't easy. 3) be prepared to "pay for what you get" . Does this mean you need to be dropping LA / California prices to get your hair done? (Like 1k/ visit)...of course not, but just know that, a senior colourist has spent a lot of their own $$ to keep up with all the latest technology / products etc and can therefore produce really great results. As with all things, you need to stick with what your budget allows, but within your budget - then find the best person with the best reviews. (Look at their social media pages etc). 4) take pics of the type of blonde that appeals to you, cool blonde, brassy blonde, more purple hue, etc. Do you want all over blonde or variations and various levels of blonde? 5) ask the stylist to recommend the best products to keep your blonde hair looking fresh between visits 6) home care : once the hair has been bleached (which is the only way to go from dark to light) the hair will be more fragile, so just know its going to require some extra care. Fully worth it, imo, to have the colour you desire. If you do a search of Lisa's videos she's done many on her journey to growing her hair out, and how she got it from a very damaged state to where it is today, long and healthy, well as healthy as any hair can be that is being bleached. 7) washing every 2-5 days is very normal. There is a lot of debate around if washing your hair less frequently helps your hair, or not. I'll let you do your own research on that. There are lots of good arguments for both sides. I personally go with about every 3 - 4 days. I have super fine hair, I'm 56, white and have 50% grey at this point. I was not using heat for a long time and just let my hair air dry, then I found several videos that actually make the argument that the heat actually helps the hair (low heat) and using a blow out method helps to seal the ends of the hair - creating less breakage. I've switched to this and I believe this methodology. Heat is one of the worst damaging things for our hair, so hot tools, styling tools etc. I say use them sparingly and be sure to always use a heat prtotectant product prior to using any hot tools. If you have hard water in your home, consider putting a filter on your shower, this can be a key to great blonde and blonde that looks dull, an off shade, can take on a green hue. We pay our filters for our showers on Amazon but you can get them at most home improvement stores like home depot etc. Lastly...frequency. How often do you go back for touch ups? This will really depend on a lot of factors such as how fast does your hair grow, your grow out pattern, etc. I do what Lisa does which is I choose to go a lower volume underneath the top layers, and often I don't even touch the underside of my hair. If you go every 3 mos your stylist should be creating a pattern whereby they highlight at the roots, different strands each time, this helps in the over processing - which can definitely happen and cause major breakage if you aren't going to someone who truly is working to keep your hair as healthy as possible. I hope these tips help ;)

Can I make a suggestion when it comes to sorting your jeans you might want to think about sorting by wash meaning gather your dark jeans together your light wash jeans together because for me when getting dressed, particularly with jeans, I think about the color as well as the cut, whether it’s straight leg flareand I think that would help you find what you’re looking for more efficiently. Good luck with your organizing.

Thank goodness you didn't like the Anastasia stuff. LOL. I said no more lippies and yet I went and got Tender Mirage, Love, and another Mario lipstick. LOL. I definitely need to go through the lipsticks and get rid of colors that really do not work for me and stop holding on to them. The Everlane curvy jeans are amazing. They are for small waist big hips/ butt . Like actually a pear shaped. Barely any stretch so order carefully!
