I “accidentally” (because there are no accidents.,.) came across Dr. Ramani’s videos on KZread during lockdown four years ago and it was like lightning striking me and my entire life. I managed to escape what I thought was an inescapable situation just one month later. Once you’re ready, all you need to do is take one step towards freedom and things will fall into place. You saved me. Thankful forever. Thank you! 🙏🏼

Thank you, Dr. Ramani. I am 37. At the age of 36, I found your video and figured out my mom is a narcissist. It answered to all my question to my weird social behaviour and self-hatred. I am following your suggestion and almost cut my mother out from my life. 3 years of therapy couldn't find it out. Thank you again. I wish I could afford you. I am unemployed for a year now. Broke and exhausted.

Dr Ramani provides therapy for free through her numerous videos. I bought her book "It's not you" and it was very affordable. She has helped millions with her advice and wisdom. There's a lot of help available on KZread, if you look for it. I find that even the comment section has some great advice sometimes and it helps to know you're not alone in your suffering. It might also help you to look up Dr Gabor Maté, who among other things is an expert in childhood trauma, something we have all suffered at the hands of a narcissistic parent.

Thank you so much for helping millions of us. I live in Texas and I can't even find a council. They're all full but listening to your speech about narcissist abuse. I have a grown son and a friend. I pulled away for my healing and I bought your book. It's not my fault thank you so much. For helping millions of us right now.❤❤❤❤

Thank you for making these videos on narcissistic abuse, Dr. Ramani. Had I watched your videos in my younger years, I would have recognized it sooner and saved up so much money to move out. Yes, I am still living with my narcissistic mom due to financial troubles. But I did live on campus for two years in college. I went through 28 years of narcissistic abuse without even realizing it.

Thank you for every utube video you make. You explain all of this so well. I'm a very stubborn person and my relationship is going down hill I believe he is a narcissistic, I'm always trying to get under his skin because of it. It's been 24yrs here in June. I want this to work and keep my family together. I'm having alot of trouble with his gaslighting then I tend to find myself doing it too. It's awful and I feel terrible, he has my head so confused. It's like he doesn't even care and I honestly think he does but doesn't show it at all. I never thought we would be here, its a battle and is so miserable some days. I'm lost.

I'm mentally exhausted and struggling. For years I've accepted that my mother is a narcissist. She fits a lot of the criteria. But since her husband's passing (who was also a narcissist) she is all alone in the world. And I feel obligated to help her. To take care of her. She's been more present in my life the last two years and now she lives in my family home in a guest room. There are so many things I could add here - she intentionally never calls my children by their correct name or miss pronounses them. She's messy and gross. But now, I think she's more of a Schizoid Personality Disorder. And I seriously don't know how to approach this? Or how to talk to her? None of us are happy with her in our home but I'd feel horrible pushing her out. I know that's what I need to do for the peace of my family. But I don't know how without seeming so cold. It feels cruel.

I feel sorry for you. I hope Dr. R can help you. Personally, I wouldn't have taken her in. You will continue to feel that manipulation. I am in the same situation, but I keep the narc far away. I only see her at family gatherings and stonewall her. It's the only solution that somewhat helped me, but the fact that the wound is too deep to heal. They are some things you can't erase 😢

My ex made me feel hideous and shamed by suggesting that I was a woman of a certain age who decide they are gay. Needless to say, I put distance between myself and my lovely friend for fear that he thought this and it was making him angry.

@DoctorRamani Hi I love what you’re doing. I once watched a video where you said one of the behaviours of a narcissist is when they say they will do one thing but do the opposite. I was a victim of sadistic narcissists as a child, I remember growing up that I showed that exact behaviour, 24 years ago I had intensive therapy and I stopped that behaviour and I am far from a narcissist. In fact I have just been through another 9 years of narcissistic abuse and although horrific now I see and feel almost myself again with no therapy. I believe the Say one thing do the other behaviour is a victim copy response to the abuse not an inherent narcissistic behaviour only. I’d love to hear your take on this matter.
