If i am to do this, i would probably do it from the absolute start

does it strictly have to be from an illustration or can it be based on a TVS adaption of a book story, i ask as there is one seen from the TV version of Percy's promise i'd love to do as i have all the rolling stock avilable in N so can even bring it with me thanks to small size, and i have 90% of the things i'd need to model said scene with only needing a few model scenery bits which are cheap enough to acquire, but obviously i need to know if i can use TVS scenes as a basis, i know TVS models should be fine as obviously theres going to be people entering who only have TVS stock but i don't know if that extends to TVS dioramas of book stories EDIT: nevermind, found an illustration that kind of captures a similar vibe, actually there are 2 from predicament i could use, the second means i could use it as a multiple illustration piece

This is AMAZING!!! But I have two questions. First of all, can anyone participate in this or do they have to have KZread or some sort of social media to participate? And second, are we allowed to work with partners on this or does this have to be a one person project? Just wondering, and can't wait to take part in this special event!!! :D

i guess i need luck on my side. ill try ill be recreating the scene where gordon finds out all his brothers are scrapped (wouldve loved to make the one in stepny the blue bell engine where it show the engines getting scrapped)

I wonder if entry has to recreate the photos with exact characters or if we could have a twist on it. Like using Australian engines like a Victorian Railways A2 Class as Edward or something to qualify

I do think it might have to be Thomas specific (unless it’s using models of said classes and not the fictional characters themselves) However wouldn’t Edward be more similar to a D3 or D2? The A2’s are much larger in comparison to something like Edward tbh.

@@TheLoneRailrider yeah that’s true. I could use a D3 for Edward but essentially I’m just trying to use what’ve got to try and recreate the illustrations to the best of my ability of what I have. Like making Daisy a DERM or Mavis a W Class shunter instead of a BR 04 etc

An interesting challenge, but I won't be able to do it due to exams June-September. I'm not good in making dioramas as I haven't got skills to make one. :(

When it comes to Digital entries. Are Trainz-related entries allowed?

Next year could Sir Handel( Sir Hayden) take the lead like Peter Sam and Duncan previously

Are you allowed to do a physical and a digital one?

Am I allowed to have only one entry or can I have multiple entries?

Does it have to be specially made for the Challenge? Because, just I just so happened to put together a sort of diorama yesterday! However, I'd be delighted to "rebuild it" if necessary! On another note, what is the music from? I know I've heard the melody before!

I've been curious about the music too... It's at the end of every Talyllyn video. I did some digging and it appears it was written for the 1965 movie "Railway with a Heart of Gold", about the Talyllyn. Neat! I'll have to add it to my watch list if I can find it.

Question: Does the diarama HAVE to be of an existing illustration or could it be an interpretation of a scene not illustrated? ie. Duke's flashback experience with Stanley or Gordon arriving in dismay at St. Pancras being photographed from all angles but hating it all?
