The show makers really liked to put new characters in the background before having their own episodes. Arthur, Diesel, James etc

From what I've read Diesels introductory episode was originally meant to be aired before Percy takes the plunge. Apparently the reason he roles through the back of shot and blows his horn is because he's still feeling cocky for getting Duck demoted and is now lurking at the docks so he can laugh at Percy as he continues to boast about diesels being revolutionary and steam engines being useless.

Who would have known Terence had a LEGO piece on him? I never knew the tar and milk tankers used the same props in season 1, that explains why ERTL released them together.

  • @FlyingFishProductions

Yes, funnily enough ERTL released a set of 2 "Sodor Fuel Tankers" together and there was only 1 Fuel tanker prop used for the entirety of it's existence in the model seasons.

@@FlyingFishProductions funnily enough, Wooden Railway and Take Along paired up the fuel tanker with the tar tanker but the fuel tanker’s Take Along model was released individually in Ireland and Britain, but strangely not the tar tanker. Meanwhile Plarail paired the milk and fuel tankers together with an engine who never pulled them in the show.

@@joshuaW5621 It's interesting how toy companies make those decisions, I wouldn't expect them to sit down and watch the entire show start to finish, (as they have a business to run). But I'd expect them to do a little more research, I've always quite liked the tankers in the show having owned all three of the Wooden Railway tankers, and recently I purchased a Gauge 1 Tenmille Tanker kit. The exact same kit the crew used for the show, I'm still deciding whether I'll make it into a Tar Tanker or Milk Tanker, or possibly even one of the plain silver ones seen in Seasons 1 and 2.

I had always known that the 4-wheeled green coaches had differently painted sides due to GWR Studios' video on Henry's Special Coal, but I never knew that technique was also used for the tankers! There were a lot of really cool facts that I never knew until I saw this video! Keep going man!

You know, they could have just split the tanker models into two bunches, one to be painted white and the other to be painted black. That way, the tankers could be painted the same colours all over. Similarly, they could have just not bothered painting the old coaches, and then they would not have Keep turning them around.

While Daisy is absent, while vice versa for Season 4, and then in Season 5 BoCo is more present in the show again while Daisy isn't.

Hey Mike, if you actually watched the video and watched the model series you would know that Daisy had a custom built chassis that was shared with BoCo. The back axle carried the motor while the front was unpowered so that it could be changed between a four-wheeled bogie and a six-wheeled bogie depending on which diesel was wearing the chassis. The model had a 4 wheeled bogie and a 6 wheeled bogie. Here's a link to the image: ttte.fandom.com/wiki/Daisy_(T%26F)/Behind_the_Scenes?file=4-16.jpg Next time try actually paying attention and doing some research of your own before you post a comment.
