Im from DC but I went to YSU. I was raised in DC but being in Youngstown made me love that city. Its my second home and I was just there back in January 2019. I always go back from time to time.

I graduated from YSU too. Born and raised on the East side. My parents are still there. I love going home 💕

Lot of potholes in Youngstown. I thought here in South central PA we had a problem but OH is worse it seems. Liked this daylight video. You are finding more abandoned houses there.

This is the result of deindustrialization and outsourcing. No good paying employment anymore just low wage dead end jobs and festering poverty.

Nice. It went from a middles class neighbourhood to a no class neighbourhood. Youngstown southside is where I am originally from.

The very first opening scene with house by itself in between the trees is beautiful ! Just like an oil painting ! I really enjoyed the drive as well ! I am always up for these types of vids ! Excellent work, Manny !

Grew up in Youngstown until I was 12. We lived in the worst parts of town. Absolute slums! Been in California all these years now, and I would love to move back to Youngstown.

I live here in Youngstown on the Southside. Very familiar with where u were at. It is so sad all the abandoned houses and businesses. My home is with a program with the YNDC. They are trying to rebuild the Southside.

Did you go to wilson high school ? I grew up exactly where he is , southern Blvd, Midlothian all through there , my friends were Tom and Kevin Holden ' the sons of the TV anchor Tom Holden ' , the skibbies, to name a few ....

You didn't even get the east or north side. We fight to survive everyday out here. That's why we're 2nd and poverty in ohio and campbell is 4th. What youngstown wouldve looked like if the mills and all the jobs never left us. We would've been bigger than pittsburgh and any other big city around us.

Man I really enjoyed that trip down memory lane, that's where I grew up down off of southern Blvd on Maywood, went to Wilson high school and ruled that side of town in the early 80s, dated some beautiful girls ' which I wish I could connect with ' , the Boardman roller cade was also a hot spot , and the old barn for live music , and I can't forget Idora park !!! .... yep that's where I grew up ... my name is John daff, so if any old friends of mine read this and want to hang out and drink a few let me know ...... I live near cedar point now but no problem making the trip to Y-TOWN,,,, thanks brother !!!
