Therapy may not work for you but its helpful to others! :) As well there is training required to be a mental health professional whilst your friend does not have that! (Typically) as well you shouldn't use your friends to vent, it could be potentially damaging to their mental health. I did Not mean to type this much apologies.

As a teenager who is about to be an adult soon, I've noticed how less I'm truly excited or happy about anything. I feel emotionally drained most of the time and I long to be truly blissful again. Everyone seems to expect so much from me and I fear that I'd disappoint them. Whenever I fake a smile I feel a lump growing in my throat, everything feels so wrong, and I can't help feeling that I'm dying on the inside slowly and by the time I reach adulthood I would completely lose myself and work with only money on my mind like a mindless shell of someone who I once used to be. Dude, I have seen a lot of people in the comments saying they are dead inside. But mostly are teenagers. *Or people who never felt truly alive to even know if they are dead inside.*

In their defense, or mine really, teenage years are supposed to be the time of their lives-you know happy and all that crap. Besides, with the way everything in the worlds going, you really think we’ll be able to experience what you might’ve had?

adults think teenagers are happy and naive all the time like y’all with the shit gen z is going through rn PLUS our teenage hormones just makes everything so much worse. we’re force fed terrible headlines and info every day that we’ve just become numb
