The studio version where he SCREAMS into it gives me chills. If you haven't had the pleasure, check out the studio recording. Anyone who took band through grade school, or just picked up a wind instrument in general, knows what it takes to huff and puff a sousa, much less humm and scream into it while playing.

It's insane How Nat McIntosh can hum, make weird FX noises, and play sousaphone at the same time

Yeah, that technique is called multiphonics. Definitely a cool thing brass can do, and it's more common on the lowest instruments because you literally buzz with part of your embouchure and sing through the other at the same time, and that's a bit easier with a larger mouthpiece.

Every member of this band is the most fortunate musician on the face of the planet.
It's 2022/2023: This is the baddest ass brass band I know...I love them,GO BABY GO!!!
Gotta love that Trumpet part, hell the whole thing is just A-MAZ-ING! Way to go Mike Boman
The amount of skills of this sousaphone guy, years years and years of hard work to reach that level of instrument mastering is just astonishing. This dude is just chillin and made that solo.
I love the sousaphone!!!!!! the octaves are so fantastic!!!

This is one of my all time happy funky fun time tunes! Whenever I have to do something I don't want to do (cleaning, dishes etc) crank this tune and I'm happy to dance away while doing it!
Super smooth sousa throughout the sax solo, and of course the solo... Always impressed with Nat
the sousaphones tone is incredible, and the solo is epic
My favorite Youngblood Brass Band song
This makes me want to start playing sousaphone again.

The sousaphone makes it! so cool!
I come back and watch this probably once or twice a year. Saw them in Cardiff, Wales around 2005. Place was bouncing!!
If I played for Youngblood, I'd DEFINITELY be playing this BANGER of joy maaaan.

Been listening to this song since forever first time seeing it performed live. Amazing, I thought for sure they had a DJ doing the scratch part, but I had a hunch it had something to do with the trombone since it was during the solo. Mind blowing
This is the single greatest and best thing I have ever heard.

@@dfisk79 Yeah I have the range down, especially with my new jazz horn; the mouthpiece is so small compared to my trigger horn, its crazy. I've honestly got most of the song down right now, it's not too bad as long as you can hit the notes. That improv though... gonna need to transcribe that
this is actually an awesome song holy crap
theres a metal screwdriver in the bass drummers left hand and over time it breaks the cymbal...

Multi phonics, he sings while playing a note. A lot harder than you think, it's normaly hard to hear on a tuba, but it helps that he has a mike. And for the other sounds, he sings those. Its amazing really
