We are in total accord. Sameer's combination of singer/song writer/intellectual is unparalleled. His comments regarding the nature of the song are nothing short of inspired. He was either going to be a Doctor or do this. He would have helped people no matter what. Selfishly, I'm glad this is the path he was called to.

I agree. If you search Peter Gebriel's in your eyes, you'll find that it's iconic, one of the best songs of all time. This one seems to hang up there with it. Maybe I'm just sense though.

That is such a beautiful thought. I had my boys young and they are all grown up. They get a little pissed when now when I start singing to them at the ages of 18 and 21. Doesn't stop me, just letting you know it makes them irritated and that for some reason makes me laugh my ass off.

after nearly 5 years of being a fan, i finally got to see young the giant live for the first time this past november, in milwaukee. i took the day off from classes and hopped on a bus all the way from michigan. one of my most wonderful memories of that day was standing outside of the venue, 2 hours before doors. it was 20 degrees out, i could feel my hands going numb under my gloves. it felt like forever out there. but not long after i hopped in line, i heard the band's soundcheck coming from the open window above me. they played this song, all the way through, and it was oddly comforting to hear it behind muffled walls, so close yet so separate. for once i didn't mind freezing my butt off. and it was even more amazing to hear it played just a few hours later, right in front of me. to this day it still doesn't feel real. i will always cherish this song, and this band. y'all are the best. ❤️

You should get earlier, i saw them in San Diego also after 5 years of being a fan, and omg, i get to the venue at 1 pm, they got there around 3, and i get to meet Sameer and Eric (the other guys run away inside even tho we were only 4 girls there) And they were super nice, we took photos and i say i love your music guys, im so excited for tonigh. Their smile, omg, made my day even more amazing, and i have a photo to remember that day. Some people think taking a photo with an artist is rude or vain, but not for me, i talk with them first, i say i love your music, and at the end i take the photo, and i will have ir for ever

this song.. I love it and the last time I hung out with my ex we were at shake shack trying the new spicy chicken sandwich and the weather was so nice that day it was perfect. The song came on and I got so excited and told him I love this song.. i got even happier with this song playing in the background while I was there with him someone I love so much.. and the next day he broke up with me.. I can’t listen to this song now without crying. My last time with him was a beautiful memory to me with this song playing. This song reminds me of a happy moment I had with him which I am happy about but also heartbroken that it was the last time being with him.. so bittersweet.

I first heard this at Red Rocks. A logical way to admit sometimes there are magical things we can't explain. Life is weird.

I know it doesn't really fit the lyrics to the song, but I heard this song on the radio randomly as I was on a brief road trip out to visit my nana in the hospital. I didn't know it would be the last time I would see her, but she shared something with me while I was there. It wasn't anything special, she just said that she loved me and that she was proud of me. This turned out to be a bit of a shock to my psyche. Like, how did I go my whole life without know the love of a grandparent like that. Anyway, on my long drive home, I searched the song cause I just managed to shazam the end of it. (I thought it sounded REALLY nice as I just caught it on the radio) and I found this (reprise) version. Man I lost count how many times I played that song that day. The part where he sings "let it out let it out"... I cried like a little boy. Anyway. Thank you Nana. I wish I knew that was goodbye. This song will always remind me of you.

The song has been out since 2018 and I've JUST recently heard it on the radio and have been obsessed ever since. A lot of people have said how this song did not get the attention it deserved. It's a beautiful song with a very deep meaning. And many people might not understand it completely, but the ones that do would be mind blown. And with everything happening with Nasa getting to see deeper into our universe, it has me really mind blown and it makes me emotional. Like, it gets to my soul, to where I can feel it in my body. 🥰

This is perfection. They're this good live ... just true talent with no tricks. Just delicious voices and musical composition. They also come across humble and true to their craft.
