This song (and band really) probably saved my life. I was in a low place, and I didn't really wanna go on, but my friend introduced me to this song, and I immediately fell in love with it, and listened to it and a lot of the other songs and albums and they gave me the will to keep going.

holy shit he's a good live singer

God, this was perfect. I'm so glad that the drummer (Francois, right?) does more vocals in this album. His voice is amazing.

Sameer's voice gives me the eerie chill of hearing Jeff Buckley's haunting melodies. Doesn't happen very often.

Hearing Youngs' music always makes me so nostalgic and makes me remember the first time i heard them. Listening them helped me get through my days and made me who i am today. Thank you Young the Giant. You are the greatest, rhythm, music, and lyric wise.

ENOUGH. I wanna share quite a deep thought here. When I first listened to Cough Syrup , about idk 5 years ago I thought "all right, classic average band with a good tune". After a couple of years I fell into them again, and this feeling kind of grew, but still nothing particular. Then I listened to some acoustic versions, and started realizing they were indeed really good. Finally the "In the open session" came to me and I just can't get enough of them. HOW UNDERRATED ARE THESE GUYS? SERIOUSLY. The vocalist is incredible, the lyrics and the music are amazing and they just get along so well. Don't even get me started on how fucking good they sound live. I just needed to point out how good they are, not just a medium-high class band. Have a good day

This song has like an almost nostalgic feel to it. Its so pure and innocent and stripped. Nothing contaminates it.
