S.A. Nyx are you really saying he should have killed himself? Yes of course in the beginning i hated him too for bullying Kurt but my opinion of him changed. He has in my opinion one of the greatest character developments on the show. He was really struggling emotionally and hating himself and although that is of course no reason whatsoever to bully someone, i can kind of understand him. I am so glad that he was able to accept himself after some time because I know how difficult and sad it can be to hate oneself.

When I was your age and younger I and everyone I knew and hung out with for any time, was incredibly jaded toward...well..everything. I don't know now why I refused to give a single solitary fuck about anything back then, least of all my future. I guess I just assumed that I wouldn't be around in that future. It's strange. Even though I did major damage to my body and mind from drug abuse without a thought to co sequences, I don't mind it so much. I just find if strange. I'm here to tell you that I am almost 36 and I have yet to find my purpose in life. I don't have a direction and I guess that is okay B.

This song really reminds of a book I read called the last leaves falling. Don’t waste your time guys we all only have so much time and one life. There are a lot of people who reach the finish line before us and we should appreciate that we are healthy and and still have a while.

Needed this so much.

this song's melody makes me think about the color yellow whenever i hear it. a mustardy yellow that's just so happy and beautiful, it's one of my favourite colors. i created a playlist on Spotify called mustard yellow and i added this song in there, not paying that much attention to the lyrics, because the melody was just happy, like me. one day i was sad. i deal with mental health issues and that day was specially rough. and i heard this song. and i actually paid attention to the lyrics. and they're so blue. this dark, kinda teal blue, that is not too bright but not too opaque, just a sad, melancholic blue that just feels nice. that makes me want to swim in an ocean and get lost and just never come back. which is my first favourite color, right before yellow. i am a big music lover and I've never had, in my 22 years of life, a song that i could call my favourite. until now.

I'm guessing the reasoning is that a lot of people like to point out that Young the Giant sounds like X or Y or Z or whatever, when in reality, they don't sound like X or Y or Z or whatever, they sound like themselves. He's pointing that out in a humorous way, at least that's how I interpreted it.

he is more specifically referencing dxm the active ingredient in alot of over the counter cough syrups like musinex delsym ect. that taken in a high enough dose makes you trip balls like you just took 2 or 3 hits of acid(depending on if u take enough) but in a different weird kinda way and it has a different body high than acid u feel kinda floaty

I always listen to this song when i am sad its a great comfort.

Personally, I think the following lyrics are probably one of the best written sections ever: "So I run right to the things they say can restore me, restore life the way it should be". The way it is paced, sang and presented fits SOOO PERFECTLY, it should be a song in itself. Damn I love this band!

Definitely the best song I ever heard

One of my favorite songs of all time. The tune, rhythm, meaning, and length are perfect. This song used to play on my favorite radio station about three years ago during a much better, simpler time. I wish I could go back to it, but listening to this, Sound of Winter, and Shake Me Down are as close as I get. Sadly, that radio station got shut down and replaced with a country station (like our 6th fuckin country station) so now we have no rock/alternative stations.

there are so many different theories as to what this song is about and I really love it. they're all so deep and meaningful and I love how everyone has a different perception of the lyrics.
