One time I wrote that Sheldon’s dad cheated on his mom. I don’t remember the episode in BBT. But, some people said I was wrong. I think they could tried more on his cheating here in this show but they stopped maybe public won’t like it, and this George senior is such a teddy bear 😂

I dread when George dies. He's been one of my favorite characters on the show, especially when he put Sheldon in his place when he was a paper boy, and when Sheldon was so touched that he took his glove off and held his fathers hand as his mother was saying grace at the table, etc.

Baby Daddy too. She was pretty much a Barbara Jean in that. Her son had a baby form a hook up and she ends up helping him raise the baby. she still looked young in that. She was supposed to have had her sons while still a teenager. It was a cute show, Hulu carries it.

Technically, George did nothing wrong. Brenda had to take Sheldon and Mandy to the hospital, and that’s how she ended up there. George needed support because he was stressed, so he wanted her to stay until Mary came. However, Mary comes in with Rob because they had lunch together. Mary purposely is hanging with Rob, but Brenda just happened to be there.

I think you mean Rob and Mary. We really have to see the whole episode. An innocent lunch is the latest chapter of the Rob/Mary thing. From their body language we can assume that they aren’t being honest about where they were or what they were doing. Kind of takes the focus off the theme of the episode which is Mandy and the baby. Do you think Georgie is out with his new GF, Amber? Maybe Missy is in school or with Paige and MeeMaw is in the sack with her bf and/or drunk at the slots. I think they are deliberately leaving Missy out because they want to develop a theme of alienation from the family for her. The title of next episode is TEEN ANGST which I think will focus on Missy. I wouldn’t blame Mandy if she took the baby and started over. The families aren’t good people. Haven’t seen Mandy’s folks either.

According to Mr Holland they will try to rebuild. As long as Brenda and Rob are around that will be very difficult. They should have an episode showing them in counseling, maybe Dr Phil, and they will have to be honest with themselves, each other and their families.

@Christopher Bingham Sheldon already spends time on his college campus and even stays there at night without adult supervision. I'm sure that he is in no danger at the hospital. And perhaps George simply was tired of Sheldon insulting Georgie all the time.

I just hope the writer made the actual arrival episode happy. Nothing drastic or wrong. I have been watching this show since day one. I love the show! I want to see a healthy baby scene. I know it's all acting, but still!

Let's be fair. George and Mary got married because they got pregnant. They might have been " in love" as teens and they gave it a shot and they probably do love each other in a respectful co parent way but..as they get older they just don't emotionally fufill each other. I am not married, never been. So I do not know what it takes to be marrie. But I hope if I ever do, that someone will feel emotionally fufilled with me.

It's not actually the same timelines anymore. Midway through S3 it became clear enough things had variability, that this is one of the many universes Sheldon was discussing. Maybe this is the one he doesn't dance in.

I don’t think the actor who plays Rob has ever made a public statement on his roll or the show. I have never seen him give an interview. I wonder if CBS has told him to stay out of sight so when he does show up it raises the tension. He certainly does a good job playing someone who seems to be thoroughly disliked by everyone but Mary Cooper. Did you notice when George asked Rob how long he had been dating Mary, he didn’t respond because Mary stepped in to answer for him? So far, Rob has been squeaky clean. No one can really accuse him of any wrong doing. I would like more background on him. I’m sure he is like everyone else and has some secrets that he wants to hide especially from Mary. When George first realized there was an attraction between him and Mary, George should have made friends with him and get the dirt on him. That way he could have discredited him and possibly saved his marriage.

WHY did they dye Georgie's hair so dark? He was much cuter with it long and lighter. A teen heart throb I'll bet. He looks so much like a young version of Patrick Swayze.

The thing is George hasn't technically done anything wrong yet. He definitely has feelings for Brenda but hasn't acted on them. He didn't cheat. He almost did and that's why he feels so guilty and gets squirmish every time Brenda is there or mentioned, but he didn't actually cheat on Mary. And Mary has obviously feelings for pastor Rob too, but she handles it differently. She chooses to spend time with him instead of trying to avoid him and getting all nervous.

@@kyleellis1825 I tend to agree with you, but George is no saint. Their behaviors have been inappropriate thus far and that’s enough. I think George and Mary will have an argument in the hospital waiting room in tonight’s episode. I hope we will only see inferences of infidelity but after the bedroom scene between Mary and Rob in season 5 I think the writers can push the limits if they want. Mary and Rob will have a one night stand. Missy will know because she is good at watching her mom and already has issues with her. She will tell Georgie. George will find out and file for divorce but will die before the case is resolved. In order to protect Sheldon, Mary’s affair will remain a secret but will drive a wedge between her, Missy and Georgie who will do his best to hold things together in Season 7. I think Pastor Rob will be fired and leave Medford in disgrace

That is possible since Mary says she's staying with MeeMaw that night. Having MeeMaw right across the street has made it convenient for Mary to runaway whenever she doesn't like what George has done.....or not done. Perhaps if they had moved to Oklahoma for that coaching job George was offered, they might have worked on their marriage since she couldn't run away every time they argued.

Maybe this affair contributed to Sheldon going to California after his father’s death

Wow,just wow.. I really don’t like Mary ,she is the biggest hypocrite on this show. She has some nerve ,especially her mooning over a pastor Rob and having lunch . Then questioning why George and Brenda are together at the hospital, while ,their granddaughter is about to be born. Geez does she expect George to be in a room,while Mandy is getting a veejay exam.

Sheldon is my least favorite character on the show. He is just too arrogant and completely self absorbed. Mary treats George like he is one of her kids not like a man or husband.

Have you watched TBBT ? Because that's what is character is. He's supposed to self absorbed. And in the TBBT he will change a bit and become a good friend. He proved that in TBBT Fimale.

Comments about being irritated with Sheldon are hilarious. Like duh, that's the point. You want him to be a kind, selfless, loving soul? 😂 He's insufferable for most of TBBT and slowly gets better. Of course he's insufferable as a kid.

We know that, of course. However, I suppose we (or at least me) hoped that from time to time Sheldon would have been taught better behavior, or at least disciplined when he stepped over the line. George was reacting in a way that many people would when one child assumes his wishes are more important than a sibling's or even his parents. Sheldon was ruining George's first experience on becoming a grandfather and George rightfully called him out on it. He did the same thing when he called MeeMaw selfish because she wouldn't drive him to a lecture and then called his parents selfish when the supported MeeMaw's reaction and also refused to drive him to the lecture. Sheldon needed to learn that the world does not revolve around him, which unfortunately he never did based on adult Sheldon's behavior on TBBT.

You're right about Sheldon. I think now they should focus on connecting the show's different plots to what we know about Sheldon's life from TBBT. Like with George. Similarly, how Georgie starts out on his millionaire journey in tyres. Maybe touch upon the beginning of some of Sheldon's many fears or phobia. Personally, all that would keep me more interested instead of random new plots and arcs.

To be honest, I think Mary is more wrong than George is. Not because it’s a man thing, but because George is the one who’s setting boundaries between himself and Brenda, and while uncomfortable with how close they’re getting and feels a bit guilty, he hasn’t gone anywhere romantic with Brenda. They just keep running into each other and catch up, and haven’t done anything in the chicken coop but talk. Meanwhile Mary has been dreaming of having sex with Pastor Rob. She’s started writing romantic novels to channel her carnal urges, using him as the basis for the male protagonist rather than George. She’s the one sneaking around and making dates with him behind George’s back while he usually tells her about him and Brenda meeting, just leaves out some details because Brenda is recently divorced and vulnerable, so he gives her the benefit of the doubt.

The confirmation that she knows she's in the wrong too is that she doesn't trust seeing him with Brenda. She used to trust him going iver her house to fix things. Cheaters get real anxious about their partner cheating for some reason..

They feel guilty over the thought/possibility of something happening and how well their personalities fit together. It shows how loyal they both are to Mary, who really doesn't do anything to improve her marriage or the somewhat of a friendship she has with Brenda.

@dennisardakis5857 Brenda doesn't exactly want to be friends with or particularly cares for Mary. But she is civil and shows loyalty to her in certain situations since it's the polite thing to do since they are neighbors and often end up at places together since it is a small town.

Melissa Peterman is seemingly being typecast. The other series I remember her from was one where she played the 2nd wife of the main character's ex-husband. I think an affair is how that relationship started.
