I've always loved Lea Salonga's rendition of "I Dreamed a Dream" She starts it delicately, then when she arrives at "when I was young and unafraid" it always felt so defiant and bold. Then when she begins "But then tigers come at night," she portrays it as if she were angry, rather than trepid and scared, then the defiance comes back, then washed with a gentleness. The emotions go back and forth through out the song until the end. I felt that Lea never portrayed fear or sadness (maybe a bit mournful) in this rendition, and that the character she portrayed exuded a deeper strength.

Hi Aaliyah, I'm 65, a musician and I like you so I listened for you♥I usually comment on Rock Music because that's what I like but you broadened my mind and she's amazing like you and taught me that music can be more than raw emotions

❤Lea has such a great and powerful voice. Loved her vibrato. "So different now from what it seemed," such power in her voice. One of my favorite songs from one of my favorite musicals. Even better than that, was seeing the joy 😃 in your reaction. Great choice, great song, and as always, great reaction.❤
