Young Oisin's first time out on a trail.

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

We take Oisin (3 yr old sport horse) on his first adventure away in the Horsebox from the farm. Albert comes along too and we explore some of the trails on foot and experience natural obstacles before settling down for some tea in the woods.
Note- Oisin isn’t currently started unsaddle due to the fact he is only 3yrs old and I see no need to hurry him.

I just had a big stupid grin on my face the entire time watching this. Every time I'm tempted to think about what a horrible place this world is, I just have to watch one of your videos to remember that there is a lady out there, with understanding that crosses species, just having a ball with her healthy and happy creatures.

Just wanted to say that I love your videos. Very few people from where I'm from agree with the idea of building a relationship with your horse based closer on mutual respect/friendship rather than breaking them to do work. It's refreshing to see someone other than myself that takes a similar viewpoint on horses!

@CinnamonSpice Eventer with horses there are a thousand roads that lead to Rome. You have to find what suits you best. Don't let others make you feel uncomfortable, stay with your own beliefs. People used to take the micky out of me because I would ride my horses in halters, I wasn't the one with problems.

You know . . . every time I see Oisin I think to myself: What a miserable life he could have had with a very different kind of trainer or owner . . . While I do admire horses I am not a really a horseperson, mainly because I do think professional horsemanship is more often then not about the interests of the trainer an not of the interests of the horse , but your way to treat them, to handle them is just so incredible and respektful and full of dignity, and so manny horses do not get treatet that way throughout theire lifes. I hope your "tribe" thanks its lucky star for living with you and I do wish you millions of subscribers, because this channel do diserve it . . . best wishes from germany

Emma Oisin looks WONDERFU! What an amazing transformation. He has filled out and his coat just screams healthy. Being a gelding agrees with him, using his brain to actually think things through rather than react, another year or so and some miles and he will be a stellar horse !!! Five Gold Stars for seeing it through.

Not only is it magical to see Oisin and Albert’s adventure, so educational how beneficial such an outting is also. It is evident his trust and joy in your partnership grow from the start of the trail to the end. Beautiful how quickly he went from being a little slightly hesitant about a little bank to looking forward to what he got to do next (splash in the stream?! Sure!!). That relationship and obvious relaxed joy in what they get to do with you each day is what I adore. Thank you for inviting us along for a charming day and a great lesson. 🥰

I really love this style of relationship between human and animal, in this particular case it's a horse. I feel Emma is saying, "look Oisin, follow me and we can have fun", "let me show you how fun life is, be my friend and we can have adventures" "Oisin you are capable of doing these things, I believe in you!" It's the conversation of a true friend and guide. Not the old fashioned "obey me because I am your master!" And I give you food and shelter so therefore you must obey me, and use all manners of ways to get the animals to obey. In the end the animal is a shell of what he could be. A relationship with character building, true friendship and supportive guidance is the best way to have something special. Love watching you Emma 💗

@@robblair3703 I dont think she showed anything from it. She just told us, he would have a better life and get along with her animals if he was gelded. And one day we see him and his craziness is gone. There are stallions who are great horses, if they are taught right from when they are real young. Olsin was far too old and it would have been extremely hard and dangerous for Emma to teach him now.

I did stuff like this when I trained welsh cobs. It is so mild and fun and educational. I thought you a little mean when you tied Oisin up short so he couldn’t eat, BUT THAT WAS A VERY VALUABLE LESSON....”We’ve had fun and now you can stand until I am ready to leave, without something to keep you occupied. You must learn to self calm and accept the situation and stand still.” I was not good at teaching that lesson and I am learning from you. Thank you.
