You won't believe why my scooter wasn't charging
Walking you through dissasembly of a scooter (any brand, really but this is for a Hover 1) and showing you exactly why my scooter wouldn't charge. This was a super simple fix that didn't cost me any money. Anyone should be able to do this at any skill level.

Thank you so much I did the same thing and I had to re connect my wire to the charger port and now it turns red when low and green when full you are the best lifesaver❤️🙏🏽💯😁🤝🏾
What size screwdriver did you use? I have the same screws in my microgo m5

I've had to order a replacement charger. Seen them go bad.

I can't see where the original replacement charger that I bought is available. But something like this should work. It's a 42 volt 1.5 amp charger: amzn.to/49tGIKj
full battery (36V on multimeter) but no power on.....any ideas? Took cover off switchboard and no water damage...and no open cables.

Check continuity on the power switch. You may have to trace the entire wiring harness.

@@AndiWofford my Alpha has the same powerboats as a "Journey" as there were 2 makers of the Alpha. Just an FYI as the Journey is blue and $16 and the red Alpha panel that's sold is $55! It must match the controller

@@AndiWofford good all the way to the controller...I cant find the 12V bus out in the controller. I think thats my issue. No standby power to the soft power switch.

I would check any brand of electric scooter if you're having the same issue of the scooter not charging.

Did you figure it out? Mine is a hover dynamo and has no screws on the bottom or anywhere. @@_diver_567

Totally agree!
Having the exact same issue with my scooter, but when I opened it up there was no loose connections, they even put wire wraps over the connections to keep them secured.

Hmm, maybe a bad system board but I would inspect all the wires in the wiring harness all the way through
Mine doesn't have the screws. I have no idea what they are suppose to be. They don't come off even with needle nose pliers!. Help!!!

@@AndiWofford Nope, I tried that. I had to return it and Amazon told me I'd have to pay the full price to get it back. I'm pissed. BBB is getting a call. I have a feeling they sent out a bunch of ones which didn't work correctly.

can someone help me why my battery isnt showing a light i just got my scooter and when i put it on charge it was red(which meant it was charging) but suddenly the light is gone and wont charge anymore

It is possible that the charger went bad. I've had a couple of them do that and just ordered the exact replacements on Amazon. Either that or the battery has become disconnected somehow.

That's one place to check; where all the connections are. Another place to check would be to take the top of the handlebars off and check in there

@@AndiWofford yes was still in the box handle bars weren't assembled but I did see a plug was on there gonna unscrew the bottom go from there

Assalamualikum, Here is the 100% solution, just double clik on your scooter like you want to turn on and change from speed mode to eco mode then try to charge it and IT WILL WORK!

@AndiWofford but literally today it charged my scooter to 93% then when I went to leave my house I opened it, turned it on and apparently battery said low and wouldn't even let me ride. So my charger was working. Something up with the battery I think. Or I need the reset button

You must not have listened. The charge wires got wrapped up from the steering wheel being twisted too many times in the wrong direction. Thus the disconnect.
