Very realistic review. RE bikes are very well positioned on the market. There is a lack of such machines, at least in Europe and probably also US. I think that this is a keeper and if you are gonna keep it serviced and clean... you can have it for years. A nice video bro. Enjoyed.

I have one, I recently passed my full test. Its a great beginner bike and so far put 800 miles on it. Couple of things to add, its very good for a taller rider I'm 6ft 5 and its very comfortable. I have some very tall friends who have them and like it for the same reason. It also has a nice amount of torque for a beginner. It can happily sit at 70 and do overtakes on the motorway with plenty left. Its the right amount of power to learn on and wont give you a fright as its very predictable. I find it far easier to ride than other 650s I rode, its very predictable, gear change is very smooth and its not high revving or frantic. You can bimble around safely building your skills and there's little chance you will get into trouble. As a bigger guy too mirrors are good so I can see a decent chunk of road as opposed to my arm. I describe it as an ak47 of motorbikes it is all metal and built like a tank. Only downsides I found, turning circle isn't great and it is heavy and while the weight is low it is a lot to maneuver if your trying to push it round. One last point, it is a looker, looks are subjective but I get stopped and told its a good looking bike every time I am out.

You don't sound like you have a lot of confidence in these bikes. I would point to the fact that these people have put a 3-year warranty on this bike to bolster your confidence. I'd also say stop trying to compare it to a bigger faster more powerful bike. Evaluate it on what it is. It is big enough. It is powerful enough. It is fast enough and it is comfortable.

It’s fair to say I didn’t have much confidence in such a cheap bike when i got on it…. However I became pleasantly surprised by the bike over the test ride and actually I think it’s a great bike for A2 market. Of course opinions are all relative, the great thing about motorcycles is there are some we each like more than others, but it’s genuinely quite hard to find a bad bike these days

I don’t know that RE still has a “stigma of cheap bikes”. Ever since they’ve brought out the 650 twins, which have now been shown to be bullet proof, with a built quality which is on par with Yamaha and kawa (I still have a soft spot for Honda build quality 😂) … they’re great affordable bikes for the common man. RE as well as CFMOTO are currently the only brands who are actively innovating their bikes and making them affordable for all markets. They deserve to be much better regarded in general.

It’s a bit too top heavy for me who would want to do some off-roading and with my off roading ability 😂but as a sport touring ADV it would be amazing. Also I think RE are bringing out a 450 single cylinder Himalayan soon with about 40 HP and 40 NM of torque. Not sure if that’s big enough for your needs but it could be a good option 🤙🏼 ride safe

@@ontheroadadventure love it, however we’ll out of my price range. I think reliability wise it would be fine but what I’ve heard is if something does go wrong, you can be waiting on parts for weeks. But this is only what I’ve heard and never experienced personally. I owned a ktm 390 adventure for 3 years with zero issues. For the price of the 890 though you can get something that would survive an apocalypse, like the Africa twin with some cash to spare. The thing with the CFMOTO 800mt is it uses the ktm 790 engine, but CFMOTO now manufactures it and with the resourcing capability of that company, you wouldn’t have issues with parts and, CFMOTO offer a 4 year warranty in the UK I believe which is outrageously good.

Longevity isn't an issue with RE… In India, the marque is considered an heirloom purchase, passed from father to son, and many Royal Enfields have been through generations. PS: I've had my Interceptor for four years, used all year round with no issues, and I'm very pleased with it (I'm just about to go out on it, meeting a mate who has an older Bullet he bought from a departed friends widow and restored.) My other bike… a hot rodded old Glide… I've had for the last 31 years of the over half century I've been riding, so long term usage is a habit with me.

Few comments. Hope you enjoyed your test. I obtained one to go with my Interceptor and scram. Yes. It's built like a tank. Back brake far more powerful than interceptor with the bigger fitted disk. Engine tune is a little different to Int 650, but not by much. Side panels and mudguards are now steel and not plastic so i suggest you treat with wax oil if you ride in wet and winter British weather. What i would like to see is a real good quality set of slash cut mufflers. Overall i love it and is now my first choice ride. Have fun dudes..

People seriously got very wrong misconception that all affordable thing should be low quality 😅😅😅 affordable things are those companies specially designed for all types whether they are rich or poor but can still afford it with the same top notch quality you get by paying for hella overpriced bikes. some people compared super meteor with Harley bikes and say ohh it is a cheap bike and is for beginners compared to Harley 😅😅😅and here I'll say CC isn't all about the riders look for instead they look for comfortable, enjoyable, reliable and affordable ride with some power and thump so around below 1000cc bikes are more than enough for riders whether they are pro or beginners though i am only talking about Retro bikes not racing bikes and for as cheapness no R.E is giving top notch bike with affordable prices it's just Harley is taking too much for the bikes they make just like how Apple charged half the price more just for it's brand value.😅😅😅

Thanks for your comments much appreciated another bike review video was recorded today so will bring you a new one soon. A interesting question, there’s no real reason for it, I suspect it’s habit as I have broad shoulders and am used to big adventure bikes so it’s just where my hands naturally sit. It’s actually counter productive as in theory vibrations will always be worse at the end of the bars and so a more comfortable ride should be had be holding close to the controls
