So, my wife and I are HUGE fans of yours. My wife loves how clear your camera is when you're in downtown Chicago, and she's mesmerized by the sheer size of the city, and how busy it is. Bradford mentions is one of his recent videos how downtown is like a maze. One of our goals is to stay in Chicago for a few days, and see millennium park and the giant bean. Anyway, we appreciate you, and look forward to seeing your FSD drive downtown.

Awesome! Video is coming soon, hopefully tonight, but that might be a little optimistic. I always end up spending at least 6-8 hours w/ editing. I was able to get some really great footage this past weekend and NO errors with any of the cameras. ☺️ It’s been a lot of fun going through the footage. Thanks for your comment. ❤️

Wow, i just did that roundo myself today. I have to say that only 40 percent of people know how to drive correctly through the roundo. Im so glad you are local to me. Makes it even more fun to watch.

As a French, the country of roundabout (30 000), i can see that the turns signal is not here yet. And the placement on the roundabout is really important to have smooth navigation (so so smooth in fact). But, I was worried that roundabounds will be a problem for FSD. The ultimate test will be the roundabout of the Arc de triomphe that is a 12 way and an unmarked one :)

Thanks for the video Jon! V12 does seem to be able to do u-turns now but the one it did here in your video was a failure notheless. It crossed over a solid yellow into an area you aren't supposed to drive in. I get that you were happy to see it pull off a uturn at all but you can't call that a successful one if it broke traffic rules to do it. In the roundabouts, the car was not maintaining its lane properly, drove all over the place, swicthed lanes without signaling and didn't signal to exit. You even went over the left side curb on one and called it successful. You can certainly be happy and exited for the progress it is making (i.e. much less hesitant than before) but don't act as if it did them well when it is struggling with the basics.

I think Beta learned that bad behavior (crossing the yellow line) from me. lol. After all, Beta is learning from video data. Regarding the roundabout, I think a lot of people struggle with those in the US.

Executing complex maneuvers like dual lane roundabouts like a human shooting the traffic gaps is the last major hurdle to solve FSD! The trick is that FSD needs to be able to do this like 100 times in a row, but wow! This is so cool! Can't wait to get this build!

Luckily i bought fsd on my 2019 m3sr+ for $6k. I bought a 2023 model YP in August 2023 and transferred that license to the new Model YP with hw4. I do feel it's worth $6k, but $12k is a little expensive for where it's at pre v12. There still a little ways to go before it's ready to sleep in the car while it drives you

really amazing FSD video! Tesla is always my dream car when i heard that it has the ability of self-driving many years ago and cant wait for it to roll out here in ASIA ; still waiting for their next gen more affordable car to be release worldwide and by then the price for FSD should gone down a lot or perhaps it is included with the price of next gen vehicle and FSD already reach lv 4 or 5 of self-driving

Random question. What are your thoughts on the 2019 or 2020 Model 3 years vs 2022 and beyond. I'm so tempted to get a used one that has FSD if I can find a really good deal. I just am not in the market for a new one. I'd love a new refresh Model 3 or to wait for the Model Y refresh - but feel like I'm missing out on a ton :)

You can save a lot of money on a 2019 or 2020 Model 3. Just try to make sure the previous owner didn’t abuse the battery and that they kept it plugged in to maintain a decent SoC. Confirm it has fewer miles and you should be golden. You would definitely be getting the better end of the deal. By a very big margin.

Maybe you can answer a question? I have FSD on my 22 MY. Even when I have put a destination in for navigation and enable FSD( little blue wheel highlighted). I have to do most of the turns as I only have 2 blue lines showing on the screen. Some roads do show solid blue single line and it will change lanes etc on its own. Why would this be? I live in Maryland, not exactly the middle of nowhere. Maybe I’m missing something. TIA.

from the round about down wolf road, there are no lane markers, so version 11 usually stays in the middle and only toward the end does it split near the light.... did you test 12.3 going down that.?

Be careful pressing up on the stalk to disengage FSD, if you do make sure its only half click not all the way up or the car will go in reverse if you are 5mph or under.

I doubt it will ever be a permanent thing. When FSD becomes Level 3, Tesla will be liable. They will need fees to pay for the inevitable crashes that happen, and they will - even a perfect driver would crash occasionally. Unless Congress releases a law that gives Level 3 systems protection from liability

It’s dumb to use a turn signal in a roundabout, because that makes it more dangerous! No matter what the turn signal says, you don’t enter the roundabout, until you have a spot to do so!

The indicator is not doing the correct thing. If you are entering at 6 o clock and leaving rotary roundabout at 9pm location your indicator should show a left turn not a right turn.

  • @zachb1706

How do you show. Your intention to move from the inside lane to the outside lane in the circle? Or how do you indicate your intention to turn right and exit the circle to a street? Both the cars behind and the cars ahead entering the circle would benefit knowing your intentions to lane change or exit. No?

  • @MagivaIT

again! oh my goodness. everything is wrong with this. you stated for #2 and #3 "lets observe the turn signal behavior" and it used NO indicators. in #4 as said on your previous video of the same. it pulled into the left lane (for ahead and left only) and indicated right, then drove round the roundabout. its great to be excited, it really is and its great to see it improving in terms of car control but come on, just be honest or read up first and be educated.
