So many of you have asked about the window vents. Kate could not remember the name of where she bought them. But, WalMart sells something very similar online from OMAC for Promasters. Also Eurocamper, and if you put in AMAZON and car window vents loads of similar products will come up.

It felt so good that he called asking me to go get his meds! I was very happy to. Then waiting I see this sweet message! God answers prayers! Thank you for gifting me feeling like a valued person today! My Neighbor was on the phone with his Mom who was so kind to me for helping her boy! I was a stay at home Mom who volunteered everywhere! I felt it was my duty! Today you & he made me feel appreciated & useful! 😊 Have a fantastic day yourself! Yesterday I did tell my Daughter I was going to start finding a way to travel to see her!

The ventilation is a WOW… Have seen some great vans… but none had this.

It’s the teddy bear resting on her bed for me. What a beautiful woman and beautiful space she’s created for herself.

Kate, I’ll be 75 next week and you give me hope that I might still be able to do this! AND that the136” Promaster is enough room!

She keeps referring to herself as an old lady, but she's proof that age is only a number. Kate is such an inspiration. She's doing more at her age, than women, that are half her age. She's living an active lifestyle, traveling, and living her best life. She looks amazing, she's healthy, brilliant, and just so charming. If she has a channel, please let us know. It's called 'waiting for God'.. in the old people's village I live in, its endemic. I'm not into that. I want to stride out and meet God. I'm actively seeking a mobile home. Thought I had one but they got greedy so back to square one. So I'm fascinated by this, both in our 70's, I'll do it too, even if I have to rock on down to the Men's Shed for help with tools etc.

I believe a lot of us who are adventurous and want to explore have been that way about most things during our life. I'm 81 and retired four years ago as a crisis counselor covering seven prisons. I've been rving for two years and last month my rv quit for good, I'm now looking for one similar and just learned from this wonderful woman some new information that will improve the quality of my rving when I get a different one. In this type of exploring we all continue learning - from each other, from ourselves, from various other means. Our passion for living expands. See how happy and content Kate looks? It's real. There are many reasons we do what we do. Yes, we do have fears. We learn to embrace them and overcome them. We continue to grow and love what we do because of our new growth developed from our explorations. If you want to explore then just do it.

I met Kate at a scenic turn off in California on my way from Washington to Arizona. What a lovely person, and so talented! I was really glad to catch up with her again in Arizona...and I'm so glad you captured her and her van on video!

At any age, this is one of the best Van builds I’ve seen. So tasteful and a great utilization of space. By the way, the IKEA drawers have a little tabs at the back that you can bend down that keep them from falling forward.

Love this lady's spirit. I'll be 80 in May and my family is so afraid I'll get lost, get sick or hurt myself. I traveled for 3 yrs in a class A. Sold it in November because it was so much work. I'm looking at a Ram van because I'm just not ready to stop. What argument can I use to set them at ease. This time around I'm going to be sure to make some meet-ups. You all are great.

@@danbailey96 I have a friend who is turning 68 this March. He did heavy construction work as well for many years. His back is totally ruined, they said after taking scans he has the back of a 100 YO man. I've met many others in the same situation.

Consider part time. That is what I do. Just returned from a 7400 mile round trip cross country trip. It was wonderful.

Kate is truly inspirational, and so natural and ego-free about the whole thing. I am 78 and believe deeply that "age" is a concept foisted upon us by "society." Go against the grain, go with your soul/heart, seek adventure, seek learning ... never stop exploring and pushing boundaries.

This is what keeps her young! Living life on her terms!🎉😊

@@rcas350pilot8 "During Covid 19 many people across the country from 2020-2021 had to make difficult decisions. Any person who is a home owner has many options to save their home from Foreclosure. They can rent the house out,with a huge deposit"??. They could also rent rooms and also pick up a second job". Apartment renters who fear eviction could rent their rooms out for 25.00-30.00 per day". Again if those aren't the best options..then a car,truck,van,RV, and a remodeled city bus, school bus ,Fed Ex truck can be an option ". I enjoy hearing about these people's adventures.. Honestly in 2023 rent's in many states have leaped from 1300-5k per month. Many people fear Eviction... If any of these people are going to do Van-life". I hope that they have a full-time job,bank account, credit card, knowledge of their vehicle and have a long-term goal. Many people I have seen on KZread,that share their lives.. Are enjoying their lives. Yes owning a home gives a person equity and.. a stable residence. Except everyone who engages in that adventure...that is up to them. Many can't afford to pay Rent's..the Ladies and Gentlemen who are on Social Security. While many work online,also some of them.. have created income streams..that they wouldn't have been able to do..had they remained stuck to an apartment lease and house payment. I say let these people live... 💐🙏

WOW ! I'm 79 too ! Actually working on my 8th decade here on Earth since 12/18/2022. Really do want to find "my" van soon & be on the road . To visit a dear Cousin too many miles away to drive in one day. Don't want to try sleeping in my 2008 Toyota Solara Convertible altho I love driving it !! Kate has given me hope that I CAN DO THIS soon ! I've tent camped lots & lived & traveled in a 25 ft 5th wheel when married. I loved our little cabin on wheels ! Never was brave enough to drive the truck pulling it tho ! Please send good vibes ! For courage to DO this in 2023 ! Blessings Kate & Carol 💕 🤗

This lady just like me she has built that van as I do and she has a base to go back to if she feels like it as I do I personally love it that way this way is to have a base so I Best of Both Worlds she has Best of Both Worlds rather than just leaving it active and full-time and have nowhere else to go and get the van breaks down or somewhere you have a place to go..

Our matress is from SLEEP ON LATEX as well. The 6" matress was expensive, so we went with 2 - 3" toppers and we are super happy with it, and saved some $$. What a lovely van. She did amazing!

@@rosett3487 we prefer a firm matress so we went with firm for our bottom and medium for our top. So it really all depends on what kind of matress you like. If you want a soft matress you might like medium on the bottom (for support) and soft for the top. But it really depends on how soft you want. Just a thought. Matress buying is so hard! It's such a commitment!

Beautiful woodwork and craftsmanship! One of the best vanbuilds I have seen. What a phenomenal woman!

What a sweet woman. I especially like how her van is very roomy and requires little solar power. Her van home is low cost maintenance for being a pro master. Not a lot of bells and whistles but the important essentials and it still feels homey.
