Hi Marius! Thanks for this video! Very informative and clear. What period would you recommend to use for fractals? Does 20 works for most of the cases on 1h+ timeframes?

Just want to say that I only watch your videos because you seem to be the most genuine when it comes to helping traders, so, I really thank you for that 😊 I've been using fractals along with fractal choas bands (for confluence) with great success! Fractals are seriously the most useful tool in my FX strategy that it's my only strategy I use. I can use fractals (with the bands) to be always in and out of the market. So basically I go long when I get a signal then reverse to short when I get a signal! Profit factor 2+ 🙂

Fractals are very useful, I have been trading with them for over a year, especially they give better picture for the price action patterns like ABCD points where they give you the sign during retracement where the B stops and where the C ends for the reversal before continuing to point D. I use fractals mostly on the 30M TF but also on the 15M and together with EMA plus RSI. Just awesome!

In minute 3:50 you talk about the lower fractal, but while you are trading... how do you know this is the lower low, if the previous low also have 5 candles that comply the requirement of a reveral?

I am confused. "But this isnt enough. On there own fractals will offer many false signals. As a stand alone price action tool fractals are quite unreliable. The main problem with fractals is that there are so many of them. Therefore, to get the best out of them you must filter the signals with some other indicators. " Why not find an indicator that uses fractals to confirm (and support) rather than use another indicator to confirm the fractal? . Hope I said that right. I watch ChaosTrader for fractals and he does a great job, but as you said they produce too many false signals.

Interesting video although I think you have some specific setting of the fractsls. It does not look like the standard ones. There were some place where the fractal should have been showb and it was not.

Can you show me the adjustments for fractals?

When trading with fractals, should trader flip charts, 15M, 1H,4H,D1, all at once & see where support & resistance IS as shown by fractals on each frame--and if if it fits close to top/bottom of daily ADR, take that trade. Now 15M fractal level may not be robust(strength wise) enough--but 1H fractal is because to form 1H fractal, market could not penetrate THAT LEVEL IN 5 CANDLES WHICH IS 5 HOURS--and that is lot of data(strength).AND fractal on 1H chart is not just one man talking but line (support/resistance) drawn by millions of traders in those 5 hours. Just act on 1H fractal--and trade be in the direction of 4H/daily trend. Any suggestions?

In simple language its like higher high lower low indicator.

SIR, Which support is more likely to hold-- A) one with fractal support Or B) one without fractal support? Which support is more likely to hold A) fresh recent support--not tested before Or B) Support which has proved successful being tested many times before? Which support is more likely to hold A) where price spent little time before being repelled away successfully Or where price spent a lot of time before moving away? We seek your wisdom.

Traders biggest enemy is trend flipping on A dime(e.g. 1H/lower time frame trend).Trend on 4H chart is the best trend guide for majority of forex traders( if one keeps trades for 2-5 days). By the time trader realizes that trend on daily chart is up, market has already gone up about 3-5 days & if you ask supercomputer for the mathematical odds, computer tells you that odds are negative right from the start.Trend based on the last 5-10,four hourly candles has enough players/juice behind it so that it would not flip on A dime, so trader has decent chance to make something without buying overpriced asset. And I seek your wisdom?

@@AM2K2 that’s why he said fractals are not good by themselves. Indicators shouldn’t be used to give you a reason for entry, but rather as a confluence to whatever strategy you use. Technical analysis is key and price action is KING, when you can combine all of these with support/resistance then fractals are a great tool to add confidence to your trade. And if you’re using tradingview you can just set up an alarm to be sent to you when price moves in a certain direction you expect it to move
