That was very Good analysis of camera both lack something but A34 try to enhance the picture and other keeps natural now one thing i like about A34 where the light was overshadowing on the board letters it captured well.

A34 has too many in common with flagship for the price of 300€. 120 hertz screen, 5G support, waterproof protection, cool CPU cores, a very large battery... Definitely worth buying which I already did.

You can always adjust brightness etc. Negligible differences.

Great video mate. You're putting a lot of effort into your work, I really appreciate it. It's quite interesting, sometimes the A54 looks better and other times the A34. But I'd say the A54 has an advantage. In the night shots especially, the A34 has definitively more picture noise ... Keep up the good work 💪👍🏻

3:17 i saw a bit of this on default mode on A34, see his glasses. The old ghosting around edges, not seen on right picture, but does happen.

Running and shaking like that become more impressive on galaxy devices. I chose S23 based on your review and have not regretted it. For smaller prices, this phones are fire! Not great, but it will do the job perfectly. :)

4:50 I like the video wall and ceiling better whiter color A34 the A54 like has reddish. Maybe it might more natural color.

A54 does far better than A34. You can notice the difference of colors of different object specially the sky, trees, leaves in the A54 while A34 is not able to do so. But then again you get a price cut in the A34 and you can find alternative brands in the price range of A54. Also, do mind the notch in A34.

The problem with this kind of videos is the release date. I was pretty consufed in the start of the video by the A34 quality. So amazing. But... Is that quality still better now? Galaxy A54 updates will come, and good bye to competitors.

Hi again ^_^ I am just wondering, are you using the mic on the phone to record these vlog-type videos while you are walking around as you test the phones, or do you have one of those clip-on mics? The sound is really good to me! I have a Blue Yeti for voice-over narrations but for filming myself on a phone I'd love to be able to just use the phone mic if it sounds as clear as you do here while you are testing the video/camera quality of the phones outside :) I have the a34 loaded in my online shopping cart, I am just trying to think of all possibilities before purchasing 🙏🏻

I bought the A34 to replace my 10 year old S4. First i don't like the size of it, but thought, oh well better get into the 21st century.. I still like the S4 pics and videos. Never concerned me, but this A34....i don't know, was expecting more 10 years on. My S4 had a familiar problem not accepting the sim card any more. It has been a loyal work horse.

Hi there. I want to ask...Did the One UI 6.0 update included improvements and enhancements to the main & selfie camera photo and video quality, performance and the battery life on the Galaxy A34 even if it's small? Or do you think it's better to get something like the S21 FE 5G instead?

The stabilization seems better on the a34 but I've read in some comments here on KZread that precisely in May there was an update on the a54 that improved the stabilization by a lot. Hopefully someone who has it cares to deny or confirm it. 😅😊

A54 owner here, from Brazil! I noticed that Samsung must have released some updates, because I got that bright circle for low light selfies as well.

A54 has natural colour. And a34 has effective colour.

Samsung galaxy a34 ❤

Picked up my a54 in 256gb 8gb ram at 289£ straight from samsung for a trade in. Couldn't be happier, goodbye to my old iphone who served me well but couldnt stand the led screen anymore amoled is so much better !!

It come to my notice that stabalization in 4k is major concern i also checked. M34 same issue rest all the features are excellent may be update will solve the issue if its not hardware issue .

At first I thought the A34 was performing superbly especially in those day light scenes, then I see that the quality became total garbage in low lighting. The details of the grounds are all gone and the pictures and videos become very grainy and blurry. I guess you cant have everything. One thing you missed out on mentioning is the shutter lag on both phones. I had an A53 last year and the phone struggle badly in low lighting, it became useless in taking snapshots of the road during my night time driving as it couldnt focus quickly enough. I switched over to an S21 FE which have a dual pixel autofocus sensor and problem solved!

Day pictures and videos are actually quite nice on both. The one major difference was at night, the A54 does do quite a bit better. However, the price difference is something to consider. Apparently the A34 chip is actually better and more stable. Luckily, I'm not a big camera guy so I don't mind the A34, I really like it. The experience on it has been very fluid and smooth which suprised me and also the design, feels fantastic in the hand. Notch doesn't even bother me, it's so small. I don't get why people make a big deal about it. If you're a camera person, get the A54 for those night time shots but otherwise, A34 all the way

planning to buy a new phone this week as my 4yr old mate 20X cracked after falling. would a34 be a better choice for camera (i do record videos/vlogging most of the time as i have 2 kids) + performance over the a54? coz I've seen a lot of reviews saying that exynos chip are not good.

I wanted to buy the A54 but I went to the store to try out and no matter if I turned every possible camera setting/filter off, the selfie camera did a weird auto-edit after I took a picture where it change the colors of my face and sort of "smoothed" me. Really weird. Did anyone who bought this phone have this problem and were you able to solve it? It really put me off buying.

There will always be some kind of image processing unless you use pro mode and you will be able to have more control over the settings

Someone probably adjusted the "magic wand" settings in camera - you can adjust face smoothness there in 8 steps. Slide all the way to the left, to 0, and no face smoothing will be applied.

I have tha A34, above the A34 pictures are sharper, perhaps a little over processed.. But camera you get max resolution on the 4:3 48mp. Other modes not so good, so just take at 4:3 and crop.

Sound is a bit tinney and of course no ear phone socket. Got to buy stupid wireless buds, which 1/ probably not charged when you want to use, 2/ lose a bud.....
