Nice, it finally combines the inconvenience of driving a trailer around with the comfort of having to put up a tent every night. And all of that for only the price of a good Van!

They didn't even invent something new. If you'd like a tent in a trailer you can buy a "camptourist" from the 1980's. Much cheaper, much smaller trailer and even more inconvenient to put up.

I've got a tent the same size that sets up in 4 minutes like this. $250 Then I just take take my huge ice chest out of the back of the SUV. Inflate my full height king size bed with built in headboard. That still leaves me plenty of room to store my $33,000 in cash in the SUV. The California tax alone would be over $3,000 for this.

My pop up was big as this thing, had a toilet, indoor and outdoor showers, sink, stove etc. it cost about 8k back in the day. It took half the time to set up as this thing, and I still got tired of doing it. Our friends would pack up in 15 minutes, and we would take 45. Oh and pop ups have furniture, like a dining booth.

Tents take a while to set up and this looks easier than that and honestly is a great amount of space inside. The major downside I see is that it doesn’t have room inside of it for a lot of stuff because it’s being compacted down, and so you need to bring your stuff with your truck.. that’s definitely a down side. But anyway point is. Going out camping n shit is a leisure activity. There’s nothing wrong with your camper having a little set up unless you’re the kind of person that will let that keep you from getting out there and enjoying the day. My dad likes to sail a catamaran, and you know what? That is way more of a pain in the ass than this to set up. Edit: there’s no bathroom, fuck this camper.

This thing is sealed off from the elements when it's closed, ultra compact, probably over a thousand lbs lighter, can be pulled by most vehicles, is solar powered with refrigeration, a hot water heater, an oven, a kitchen sink, uses weather-resistant materials, and allows access to electricity even when it's closed up. This short form video doesn't fully do it justice. By the way, I don't know this company, don't camp, and don't have any stakes in the game. Just keep seeing all the negativity all over this comment section and did a quick search to find out about this product. It's pricey but pretty awesome, I think.

Decathlon sells a 3-room mansion with inflatable structure, you just plap that 30-kilogram tent on the ground and hook it up to the compressor and the rest it does itself. I think it costs around 450 quid (the AirSeconds 4.2). You get two rooms and a shared space. For a thousand total you can set up a whole tent city with a toilet and shower and everything They also used to have a 4.3 one with like 3 rooms and a shared space and you could connect them to one another

$34k for a tent with wheels. I’d be embarrassed to tell anyone about that. You can buy an actual travel trailer with a kitchen and bathroom for half that and probably something to pull it with too.

You can get a Tiguan a few years old for about 17-18 in good shape. A small Scamp might be about...12?

That is a lot of money for a tent on wheels and if you don’t have the garage spase to store it in you’ll have to pay to store it inside somewhere to prevent mold and mildew growing on the canvas/synthetic walls. And dry rot is a possibility after a few years depending on the climate where are you live.

Uh oh! I got tired before you were half done! It's okay, I lost focus right after. My family all remember putting up our ginormous tent. I was pretty sure Dad was dead when a pole went flying and clocked him.

Don't do off-grid camping in this. If trouble arrives, you can't lock up and leave quickly!

This is light and angled enough for the Cybertruck. Since that thing can't haul or carry anything. This tent-camper makes perfect sense.

This unit shines when you don't have room to store a large camper at home and saves on paying for camper storage fees at a storage facility.
