It's great to see the dog looking around at things that he has not been able to see for years. He was not really aggressive, but defensive, he was frightened and had no idea what you were doing to him.

Thank you for all that you do to help the Dog community and your kind way of going about it because I wouldn’t have been so kind with the owner. Not only did the owner lie to you but his condition is definitely at the fault of the owner because I have a dog with hair and if you bathe and brush regularly that doesn’t happen yeah you might get an occasional small mat that you just snip out with a scissor. Thank you for changing this dogs life. It was a lot for this dog to go through in one session. Maybe with severe cases like this it’s best if the dog is groomed in multiple sessions. Hopefully the selfish owner is grateful and keeps up with regular grooming and bathing.

What an ordeal for you and the dog! If this was the dog's first visit to a groomer, it would be a very scary experience. You did a great job.

You can tell that he is not touched too often. The way he twitches when you do.

Yes, health issues are definitely a concern. Many groomers retired during COVID and it was impossible to find the right one who would consider my dog’s needs. So he got matted. A person shouldn’t be punished for difficult circumstances. Most groomers won’t let you stay even when you know your dog best and that’s not acceptable. Wish I lived near you!

I admire you both for how you are helping animals. The dog you are grooming in this video has obviously been terribly neglected and should definitely be taken away from its neglectful owner!
