I'd say send the people who overdo it with explosions and damage to wildlife to purgatory. From what I understand, gender reveal parties were created, or at least became a trend, due to a woman who wanted to celebrate reaching the point of pregnancy where she could learn the gender of her baby due to having several miscarriages previously before that stage. I understand why she wanted to celebrate because that's a huge milestone for her. The other people that overdo it and cause problems are the reasons why we can't have nice things.
