I never had any only dogs. My living situation wouldn’t allow for a dog. I love animals so I got a cat then another now three total. Best decision ever. I never knew cats had such personalities and love.

Raising a cat from a kitten is a special and unique experience

I JUST lost my cat of 18 years and 9 months. I found him as new born and bottle fed him. The bond we were sharing was unbelievable, a bond that I have never had with any other being in my life.. I miss my Edouard every minute of every day since then. He was the love of my life. So yes, what you are describing is true.

I can only agree with you. Cats sometimes bite and scratch but they don't have the sheer vindictiveness and malice that humans have, at least not when they're treated well.

I had to say goodbye to my cat last week. My heart is broken. 💔😔🐈‍⬛ She was so wonderful! Greeted me when I came home, had to be wherever I was, snuggled and stayed with me when I was in bed with a migraine, made me chase her, and play tag! She was so smart, sweet, beautiful inside and out and she communicated so well with me. I’m still processing that she’s gone. 😥 But I know she loved me, and I always showed her and told her how much she was loved and appreciated. 💜🐈‍⬛💜🐾 Never take our fur family for granted because we are lucky to share our lives with them. ❤

I wonder if I should say this, but from what I've observed in my life, losing a beloved pet is often far worse than losing any human. My condolences. Of course, after an appropriate grace period, you get another and do it all over again :)

@@devilsoffspring5519 No need to feel bad for saying that. It’s different losing an animal. I know a couple of people who had abusive upbringings, and their pets are the only ones that showed them love…unconditionally. 💜🐾

I always feel off-put by the term 'owner.' I myself refer to a person who has a cat as his or her "human."

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A "CAT OWNER". The term is absurd. We are their human companions, their loyal employees or their Royal Subjects. Punto.

TO THE PERSON WHO HAS THE CAT SNORING LOUDLY: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TAKE YOUR CAT TO THE VET ASAP and have advanced imaging done. It is NOT as benign as it sounds. It is almost all the time a sign of a nasal tumor or polyp.

"Almost all the time"? Absolute rubbish. We've had 4 cats that all got quite old. All of them snored loudly occationally, and more often as they got older. All of them had periodical vet exams, and there was never anything wrong with them, apart from getting somewhat worse eyesight when they got old.

I challenge to all and you my kitty Sophie will forever be the bringer of holes in shirt!

But when cat wiggles tail, he is spraying urine on your walls.
