When you said electric guitar, I wonder what he'll do with that at 5 ½ mins I said out loud, "He's gonna break your heart. That's what he's about to do." So I'll continue the video to see if I'm right, but this one gets me every time. Welcome to the Renegades. Come on in. It's warm and welcoming for everyone ❤ Edit: Ren doesn't copyright his material. He encourages people to review his videos. Since he's independent, he loves that he gets to say how his music is released, and he wants everyone to enjoy his music as they do choose. He used to comment on the early reactions until it just exploded, and he couldn't keep up Your reaction was just as I thought. I've been on every antidepressant out there only to have horrible side effects or made me more suicidal. I found out this past year through a DNA test to see which were compatible to my genetics, and there were zero. All but three were red warnings. They still insisted I try two of the three in orange warnings, but those made me worse again each time. So, I struggle with CPTSD and depression. Some days are good, some, not so good but, I do what I can if all I have to give today is 10% and I give all 10% them I've given 100% of my effort I had available and that had to be enough for me. I'm currently going through another bout of anorexia after sorting through my infant daughter's belongings as well as my two surviving children's and I've been a mess every since it's been over 40 years and it never gets easier without her 😢 Imma leave it there. Just know, you're not alone, and yes, there are many people going through things you have no idea about, so be good to each other. You might just save a life

If you do have a copyright issue with any of Ren's stuff - challenge it. He has instructed his attorneys to allow reactors to show all of his stuff. As an independent artist, Ren has many times voiced his gratitude to the reactors for helping to share his music with a larger audience than he could ever reach on his own. I'm so glad you have joined this community of Renegades! Ren probably didn't realize the effect he would have on so many lives, but it's amazing to watch people from all walks of life come together in their reception of Ren's music. Thank you for another heartfelt reaction! I hope you'll continue to explore (I promise that not all of Ren's songs will make you cry! Many of them are fun and silly).

Ren’s music has a way of hitting you in the feels, it’s one of the reasons we love him so much (and the fact that he’s wicked talented). Chinchilla at the end of the song hits me that way too. We’re gonna have to recommend some fun Ren songs to kinda break up the intensity a bit. Thank you for your honest reactions, welcome to the Ren community, and thank you for your service. 🙂

There are so many songs that Ren has that hit this hard. Tale of Jenny and Screech is another one that comes to mind immediately. But he also has a lot of really fun, uplifting, amazingly diverse songs - both recorded and live. Check out the stuff he did when he was a part of The Big Push. He’s the real deal. And Chinchilla is another one of those talents that doesn’t get nearly the air time they deserve.

The thing I love most about Ren, as I hop from channel to channel watching everyone reacting to him, is how universal his music is. I've watched preachers in tears, housewives, rappers, musicians, therapists, men, women, he moves SO MANY humans on so many different journeys. What an artist. And Chinchilla! Phenomenal talent. Loved your reaction

I've never been a soldier and can't understand what you've been through. But I know our soldiers have dealt with things. Thanks for appreciating that and what Ren can share. I'm a teacher in the States and his words and lyrics really speaks to me as well. Kids want to know they are heard. They deal with so much in this digital age. I appreciate the fact that Ren is breaking those barriers of "don't talk about that."

If you get copyrighted you can appeal it and Ren will clear it, he allows all reactors to monazite his videos after you appeal. I know Ren has saved at least a few lives with his music

What I love about Ren is everything actually, he really has everything , charm, humour , intelligence, his writing , performing, singing and acting are just off any scale ever made. I have watched this 500 times and it gets me every time. His fans will always be there for each other and reactors, it's a community like no other.

Thank you for sharing this! It meant much to me. I always feel ashamed and weak when I cry because that's what ppl told me all my life. But when seeing you cry I realized it did not make you weak. Expressing and facing your pain did not make you weak. It makes me wonder if maybe one day I can stop being ashamed and feeling weak for hurting too. Bless you.

Ren is something very special. He is showing the world that it’s okay to be vulnerable. He is inspiring us to show empathy and support each other. So of course that is what the #RENegade will do. We will be here every step of the way as you journey down this rabbit hole. I recommend one of my personal favourites: Crutch feat. Bibi. It’s an older song from before Ren finally got diagnosed correctly with Lyme disease and is a beautiful but heart wrenching portrayal of his struggles. Oh and to comment on what you said just before starting the reaction, Ren can definitely play the hell out of the electric guitar too (you can see it clearly in some of his busking videos). But one of the brilliant things about him is that he also knows when to keep it simple. His musicality is part of his very being. He knows exactly what a song needs to convey the message. He even knows how to perfectly use silence to really make us think and feel. He is an artist like no other.

Aw man I recommend listening to this again and just sobbing your heart out. I find I try not to cry but when I really let it out its so much healing. Thanks for being here. Defo listen to something of his that's a bit more upbeat just to feel those good vibes too. The Big Push (Rens band) Bongo Bongo is a good one. Especially before hitting another heartbreaker healer ❤

Ren dosen't copyright strike his music. If youtube try to then appeal it and Ren's team will clear it. That's what I hear from all the other reactors. If you want I can add a link in which one reactor is explaning it to a new reactor.

Yep. He’s said this much - that KZread does it automatically, but he’ll never claim copyright on his music and will do whatever it takes to clear it up. He believes reactors direct people to him, and that he’s doing the same for the community.

Last time I said you had one of the most moving reactions I'd seen of the hundreds of Hi Ren reactions I'd viewed. Yours was the MOST moving I've seen of Chalk Outlines. You have my utmost respect. Keep up the great reactions and most of all take care of yourself. (Also, Ren LOVES reactors. He'll clear the copyright for any of his videos for you promptly.)

The ability for us to connect with others and support each other is a gift I received from the Ren and us Renegades.

Thank you for your very emotional and honest reaction. I think Ren has done an amazing thing, with his music, for a great many people who are going through unbelievable trials in life and maybe feel lost and alone. His music is bringing people together and giving them the chance to talk to others, who will listen and help them realise that they are not alone.

I think this is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard, and also most powerful. I've listened to it probably hundreds of times by now.

Another masterpiece composition from Ren! :)

Like i said, it's a punch in the gut, with beauty and raw emotions. I've been on and off antidepressants my entire adult life. I'm actually on sertraline (zoloft) right now for the second time. (Also pain killers, muscle relaxers, anti-anxiety the usual...i think I'd already mentioned I'm a mess lol) I'm not a vet, but my bf, dad and brother are. Grandfather was in ww2 so he was a combat vet. My cptsd comes from a different source. Not gonna go into it, cuz I'm entirely sure no one is interested in those details lol. But the dead feeling from the antidepressants is so disheartening at the same time you're grasping for any bit of relief. Scared to change and get better because ... well, frankly, the further up you go, the further you have to fall. I'm a 50 year old mum of a wonderful son who survived leukemia in 2021 (that was a year i would like to never ever repeat). He will be 29 this year in November and all i can think is that i nearly lost him at 26.) There's so much bs going on in my life these days that sometimes i wonder why i even keep trying. This song hit me so hard because, again, i felt so seen and understood. And the beauty of the song just carried the pain along, it didn't mute it at all. It transported it in all it's raw reality. And somehow the contrast of the beauty and the....i guess the beast, made it even more soul wrenching. Watching your reaction made me remember again the first time i heard it and i cried with you. One day at a time, one step at a time, always keep putting that foot forward. You never know if the goal is just right around the corner. And if you have to stand on your tiptoes to catch those precious breaths, you do what you have to do. That rope won't clench tight forever. This too shall pass. Sometimes you fall and that is OK. We just catch our breath and push back up and start again with the knowledge that nothing lasts forever. Even the bad stuff. Ride the pendulum and remember that the darkest nights make for the brightest days and you just can't have shadow without some sunlight. Hang in there, brother. Hugs Nixy Rose

I have to suggest, How to be me by Ren. It is probably top 3 most emotion causing songs for me. It deals with his best friends death. He has a few songs that he talks about Joe, all are great.

I don't think you would ever get copyrighted reacting to a Ren song. He is an independent artist and is extremely aware of how much the reactor community means. If you do get copyrighted, it should be a mistake. I want to say that for some reason, there is something weird with the sound of the music in all your Ren reactions. I don't know why, but I'm sure someone more competent than me at that could help you with it. I don't want to assume that I know what you are going through, but like you I am struggling every day, just for different reasons. I hope you keep going down the Ren rabbit hole and think the next song to react to should be 'How to be me'. Cling on to the good things in your life, for dear life. You matter. And by doing these reactions you also matter to many strangers online as well, even though you don't know us. For some reason I feel better seeing people react like you do. I don't think anybody who hasn't actually been there can understand how powerful these messages are, and seeing you share your emotions brings me comfort and strength to fight another day.

Oh and as far as talking to REN, you are a reactor, he loves reactors, and he loves reaching out and talking to you guys. If you are serious just make a quick mention in each of your REN vids, and maybe send a message to some of the other reactors who have had a chance to interview him, for example Black Pegasus, or Knox Hill. REN would probably love to give you an interview if he has a spare moment between the therapy he is undergoing for his health and the time pressures of his sudden fame. In the other hand REN reads his comments and he tries hard to thank all his reactors, so it is probably only a matter of time before he sees your reaction and responds. I for one very much look forward to and interview between you two, so finger’s crossed on your behalf!

A little late to your party, but great reaction. You need to hit these 3 (How To Be Me (live), Suicide, and For Joe) in order since you've talked with your struggles with mental illness and attempts with suicide. You will need the boxes of kleenex, but each are worth it and you'll appreciate Ren more for facing the same struggles you did. Keep it up, and never be ashamed of the emotions, I still cry on may of these after multiple viewings.
