Dami's voice is deep even when she speaks, her range is amazing though because when she sings it's a totally different side of her.

"Chase me" was their debut, released on January 13th (a Friday), 2017. It must have been nerve-wrecking for the members, re-debuting with a genre that is not popular in Korea after Minx failed. (5 of them were Minx before.) But they already doubled their sales with this. And they stuck with the Rock/Metal vibe until today, now selling 50 times the albums than Minx did. This is the start of the Nightmare arc, which spans 6 MVs and 1 Japanese release. They are Nightmares here, and the Nightmare hunter is trying to dispel them - how that turns out is shown in the next one, Good Night. Remember the ending here for when you react to Good Night! Scream is part 1 of the Dystopia trilogy, which is about cyber-bullying, hateful comments and people losing themselves in the (fake) online world. It is mostly showing the victim's perspective of (cyber)bullying, comparing it to a medieval witch hunt and a burning at the stake. The tree is the tree of language, and it grows black fruit for every hurtful thing people say. Note also the hand gesture, it is the devil's horns introduced by Ronnie James Dio as a symbol for metal, but it originally was a gesture in the middle ages to ward off the evil eye, tying into the witch hunt theme. I really enjoy the music, it's rock mixed with EDM. Dreamcatcher are always very creative, and they are in their own genre by this point.

In Chase Me, the girls are wraiths called Nightmares, because they haunt people's dreams and give them Fears. The Hunter visits the Haunted Hotel and tries to enter Room 808. In the end he breaks in and finds what he was looking for. The story continues in Good Night.

Part 2 after Chase Me is called Good Night. Scream is in a trilogy with Boca and Odd Eye. Yoohyeon is in fact amazing on a regular basis.

Dreamcatcher is Kpop group with heavy Jrock and hip-hop influences (to varying degrees, depending on the song) that also incorporate many other genres.

The blonde in Scream is Yoohyeon. Yoohyeon is the lead singer and the tallest in the team. Yoohyeon is the same age as rapper Dami.

Yep this is the song that got me absolutely hooked on dreamcatcher in 2020. It was the start of lockdowns and so I had all the time to just binge dreamcatcher discography and content. Scream was from their first full length album (they had many mini albums/EPs before that) and the whole album blew me away. Yes, dami's voice is real deep even when she's just talking normally, check their vlogs if you're interested, aside from that i keep thinking of recommending their song 'shatter' as it might 'shatter' your expectations but maybe not right now and wait a bit and check out their other bsides before shatter as it's definitely shattering

OOTD is the first song of a dou i believe (their first duo). They mostly do trilogies. Although the nightmare series, which is their first starting with chase me, is 6 song lengths. JiU and Yoohyeon are the ones you noticed the vocals on the most - theyre the two lead singers and Siyeon is the main. Dami, the main rapper, just has a naturally deep tone for it. Off the top of my head Boca, Maison, Black or White have great dami verses. Demian and Propose too, in propose she has a longer rap AND starts using lower, rock-ier vocals occasionally that sound really good. Since you like thei vocals a lot, i HIGHLY recommend you check out the live radio performance of 'Propose' (full title is '[4K직캠] 드림캐쳐(Dreamcatcher) - Propose') on the "Mhz 므흐즈" channel on youtube. Its probably my favorite radio performance and its fairly recent, from the same minialbum as Bob Voyage

dreamcatcher \:D/ yes yoohyeon is the one who started bon voyage. you seem to gravitate to the softer airy voices like yoohyeon and jiu 😅 all their songs are different and most are actually not rock. each series/trilogy will involve different sounds. the nightmare series(starts with chase me) has more classical mixed with rock while the dystopia trilogy(scream, boca, odd eye) is more electronic mixed with rock. if you want to check out some of their non-rock songs, try these b-sides that have 'special clip' accompanying videos: red sun, demian, shatter, and there was no one left, july 7th, wonderland, fairytale, sahara... among others :D

You should watch Shattered by Dreamcatcher and be (Shattered again)

Go from Scream to something like 4Memory and see if anyone believes it's the same group.

Dreamcatcher are fantastic. Their concepts are just so interesting. My favourite songs and mvs are deja vu and boca. Piri is so good too. To get the story behind the mvs it would probably make sense to watch them in order, but I didn't either at first and enjoyed them a lot anyway. 🫶🏻

That's what I ended up doing, just I could keep track of what was going on 😋 . *The Nightmare Series* Premise: A group of boarding school girls are cursed and turned into Nightmares. Over the course of the series they struggle to break free of the curse while, as times, also giving in to the freedom it gives them. Chase Me - Their debut which you just watched. Good Night - a direct continuation of Chase Me Fly High - a prequel to Chase Me / Good Night showing how the girls got cursed. You and I What Piri - The finale to the Nightmare Series Breaking Out - A Japanese release that is considered to be an alternate ending to the Nightmare Series. Deja Vu - A stand alone track made in corroboration with the makers of the King's Raid mobile game. *The Dystopia Trilogy* Scream - The beginning the the Dystopia Trilogy, a commentary on bullying, cyber bullying and hate speech. Boca (Spanish / Portuguese for Mouth) - Continuing the commentary of Scream Odd Eye - The finale of the Dystopia Trilogy. A commentary on the dark side of the internet, especially social media. *The Apocalypse Trilogy* Premise: A commentary on pollution, climate change and how we're destroying the planet we live on (i.e. our home) Maison (French for house / home) Vision Bon Voyage *The Versus Duology* OOTD (Outfit of the Day) - A commentary on the arrogance, narcissism and 'fakeness' that has pervaded social media and it's "influencer's". Also a jab at pop culture in general, including pop music, Part 2 is due some time in July Other stand alone titles... BEcause - The MV for this one is based on the horror movie Us. Rose Blue - another mobile game collab Endless Night - Another Japanese title track Eclipse - an honest to goodness anime OST for the King's Raid anime And a plethora of b-sides, covers and solo songs. Once you start digging into their b-sides you will find out that they don't do just rock based music. In fact, I've found them to have one of the most diverse discographies I've ever come across. It really is remarkable how they can pull off just about any genre of music out there. As a bonus, a lot of their b-sides and "special clips" which are lower budget MV's / performance videos. Much better than lyric videos. So, if you do decide to react to their b-sides you might want to see if they have a special clip for the song before hand. Hope this helps. Thanks for checking out more Dreamcatcher! Rock is their core sound that's found in all of their title tracks and some of their b-sides, but their discography is very diverse. It's easily the most diverse discography of any group I've ever come across, k-pop, or otherwise. I saw someone else suggest just doing their whole discography and I 100% agree with that. Dreamcatcher's non-title tracks are as good if not better than their titles and their whole catalog is great. Each album also has these really awesome Intro's that set the tone for what's to come. As for Dami, that is her normal rap tone and is pretty close to how she sounds when she speaks. She has the most versatile voice in the group so she can do everything from deeper raps to these really bright airy vocals. You won't find her singing too much on title tracks, but she did have a singing in line in Bonvoyage. It's the scene where she's wearing an Orange hoodie and the buildings are floating in the background as the camera moves between other people. It's towards the beginning of the song. If you really want to see what she can do vocally, I'd suggest checking out her and Yoohyeon's cover of the Day 6 song, Love me or Leave me, that they just dropped a few weeks ago. As for what's coming up soon, the second part of the Versus Duology will probably be dropping around July. This will be the follow up to OOTD.
