I agree. There is something glorious about pounding away at some stupid level, burning through dozens and dozens of lives, only to beat the level and continue the run. We know it's possible. Sometimes it is. Sometimes it isn't. When it happens though it is really satisfying.

Technically it wasn’t a troll level, but a trashy speed run. And the best clutch moment was probably when he beat a stage like 0.02 seconds after the timer ended, if you haven’t seen it.

I'm so glad you started doing SMM1 again! I actually missed 100 mario

I can't even begin to tell you how friggen happy I am that you're doing more 100-man. I missed this so much!

Everybody, if Ryu gets back into SMM1, then I think we should start making him lots of midair courses. Seriously.....You can tell by how much he's smiling that he loves them😉.

This was such a sampler of quintessential mm1 levels. Kaizo, trivial levels, incredibly hot garbage full of death doors, blind jumps, and enemy spam. Magnifique.

mid-air? I thought they removed th.. why on earth do you have 100 lives? wait WAIT

I'm not surprised to be honest. Ryu's uploads have been less enthusiastic since SMM2 came out. The lack of shell jumps, the 30 lives that make endless super expert impossible, the inevitable jank that goes with the new features... Overall, Ryu's incredible skill at SMM1 hasn't fully transposed in SMM2 and he seems a bit sad about it to me.

Ryu seems to have a good record when he does Ryuvenge after the run is over he beats the stage first try

But seriously Nintendo really needs to add back in 100 man, Endless is fun too but I find myself bored with Endless videos since they can just keep going ooooon. 100 man has an end goal and makes it satisfying to watch and see people either skim by by the skin of their teeth or fail spectacularly.

until they add 100 man to mm2 id like to see this type of content occasionally

Glad you did another Super Expert No Skip vid. Endless run in SMM2 is good but there is no goal, no win/loose. Endless just doesn’t ave the excitement SENS has. Thanks!

I'm actually glad to see you playing SMM1 again since the 100 man is still missing from the sequel and it's just perfect for YT format even though the Endless challenge is pretty cool too. After playing the Endless Super Expert challenge a while and hardly beating any levels with 30 lives I've really realized how hard completing the Super Expert No Skip is, good stuff Ryu! :)

Plenty of warning on this.

I do kinda miss this format. Having an END to work towards gives the whole thing stakes and makes it tense when you get close to the end but you're low on lives. In SMM2 when you're running out of lives it's like "well, yup, that was bound to happen." I mean, don't get me wrong I'm enjoying the new content too, but I do kinda miss these runs.

I knew ryukar would come back to smm1 for the super expert and midairs

I LOVE midairs and miss them in MM2. Glad to see a good SE no skip; SE no skip sucks in MM2 with only 30 lives. MM2 basically makes you skip levels after a few losses instead of pushing through and allowing you to actually improve as a player. Looking forward to a SE#71.

The SMM1 100 man is much better game mode than infinite.

I like the idea of infinite, but they should add skip filters, such as no skip, normal, and skip every death. this would allow people to add challenges and still be able to compete.

Got confused seeing a Super Expert No Skip in July 2019

Pranking us by just going into SMM1 with no preamble like nothing had changed? xD I appreciate it, and it was really fun to see Super Expert No Skip again. I definitely vote you keep doing these, _at least_ until SMM2 gets 100 man, and maybe even then.

I've seen hundreds of episodes and I've never seen you clutch one on the last life!!! Completely awesome!

Why in god's name do these people make these cursed levels. We know darn well Nintendo wouldn't torture us like this....

This was awesome! It would definitely be a nice surprise to see SMM1 100 man videos once in a while.

As much as I love the MM2 content 100 Mario is definitely my favorite series on this channel so I'd love if you still made these once in a while

It took me a full minute and a half to realize this a SMM 1 video.

SMM1 stages can be so much more technical. They dumbed down a lot of mechanics in 2 and I missed all this crazy stuff

This was an unexpected time travel (I actually have to check the date twice LOL)! I miss the Super Expert No Skip from MM1, and, oh man! what a run.

SMM2: "Mid-airs are now banned." (Ryu proceeds to go back to the game with mid-airs.) SMM1 (in a trenchcoat): "So I heard you want to try some mid-airs." Ryu: "Just three please. I'm trying to kick the habit and not the shells."

Yeah I’m with them. Much more enjoyable than endless.

The fact Ryu beat a mid-air consistency level probably makes this my favorite run. Also that garbage speed runner on the last life.

I really, really like that there's actually a victory state with the 100-man challenge. Endless can only ever end in eventual defeat.

First i did not know why you had 100 lives... then i saw the title... it's pretty good that you still play Mario Maker 1!

The sheer stress and triumph of this run is a clear sign from the universe that super expert no skip smm1 must be continued

There is still so much undiscovered greatness in SMM1. I don't think I'll need to buy SMM2 for another 2 years.

I very much prefer watching original Mario Maker than Mario Maker 2. Thank you!

I feel like I'm watching Ryu in 2018. Ah, the good old days... Not saying that ryukahr is bad now, just saying.

I think periodic 100 SMM's from the first game is a good idea. Always nice to see a bit of a throw-back variety. :D

Thanks Ryu, I thought I was being stupid when I felt like I missed 100 man, I would love to see more 100 man videos.
