The solution to that POW puzzle is that when activated, the POW block sends out a radial shockwave that moves across the screen really quicly, *but* *not* *instantly,* so you can abuse this by letting the shockwave reach just the munchers and the first set of coins, but not the one under the door on the right.

Watching this in the darkness, that flashing part in the end nearly killed my eyes.

BTW, puzzle wasn't softlock, it was pow on spring to go through door.

@@Ansatz66 yeah, I won't argue about that. It was just pretty hard imo to softlock yourself there. Therefore I won't blame the creator, it's not that great of an oversight, even tho it sucks.

This is literally my favorite part of the work week :)

7:09 Ohhhhhhh, if you go through that frame by frame, you can see that the shockwave from the pow doesn't actually reach the coins before he gets through the door. That's a really cool use of a very obscure mechanic! Edit: 17:53 That was cool :)

Man idk how I even found your channel, but I’ve never played super Mario maker, I’ve never heard of it, and I’ve never even owned a wii or anything of the sort. I'm right there with you lol. However, my wife finds all of the smm streamers voices horribly grating and has started inquiring why I don't just get the game and system myself lol. I just may have to invest in a wii and smm2 when it comes out.

Man, ryu, I've been watching you for almost 2 years now. I found you by chance at around episode 10 of 11 of super expert no skip series. It's like i work all day, get stressed out throughout the day and I destress by watching your new videos just before I go to bed. I don't even have a switch, or mario but I love watching you dissect these crazy levels. I do agree with you about these newer Rom hacks coming out. It seems that the player experience and fun are out the window and the creators are just happy with cooking up new trolls and then put the game out. They spend so much energy on trolling the player that it's not even fun and the player experience severely suffers. I hope they listen to you and start making some good ol' fashion new Mario content! They can do it if they just spend less energy on trolling the player and more on the 12 midairs......i.....I mean on the levels and music! Hah later bro

I am new to mario maker watching as of around February and I knew that the pow wave would take out the closer coins and not the farther if he went through the door between the two. Carl explained those pow mechanics in one of his WR for a puzzle on his KZread. Apparently the POWs send a wave, and the wave destroys everything it touches, but if you enter (or reset) a room fast enough before the wave touches something, next time, whatever the wave didn’t touch, won’t be destroyed lol.

That fifth level has some serious cheese protection. When any attempts at playing the level normally make you wonder whether you were meant to cheese, meaning when you try to cheese it feels like you are just playing normally, giving up on cheese opportunities concealed as ordinary gameplay. :dizzy:
