Hi! I’ve sang my whole life. I then went to college for music education and vocal music so that definitely helped. A big part of it is supporting your sound with breath support and and not being afraid to be loud when singing. When people are first starting off that is the biggest problem I see cause they are often shy about how they sound and that leads to unsupported singing. Sing big and bold and make sure to are breathing and sustaining your breath with your abdomen! As for singing and playing at the same time that is all about practice and knowing your chords and strumming pattern. When starting out keep a simple strumming pattern and play songs with only a few chords to start, then once you are mastered with those you can move to more complicated patterns and difficult songs. It is also important that you 100% know the song you are singing as well. That way it can be an automatic thing and you can focus on the playing.
