Very impressed with the first boat

One time we got sideways to a wave in a typhoon in my 600ft cruiser in the US Navy. It was a little top heavy due to the recently added radar equipment. I was on the mess deck when we took a 35 degree starboard roll for twenty seconds, coffee cups and trays flying over the table fiddles to the deck. It was pretty scary.

Perhaps Robalo should use that in promotional materials. "Look, our boats are so stable they'll save your backside even when you do something like this..." Although... If you watch closely, he seemed to be right where he wanted to be. He was looking at the next wave off to port as if he wasn't overly concerned with the wave he was on. Maybe it was all part of the plan, but the plan looked pretty sketchy from here.

Yeah -- really bad idea. He sees waves breaking so turns sideways? At that point it's better to nose through it, even though you'll get a whole lot of water over the bow and then get airborne, but at least you'll be right-side-up.

You don’t always need to have the score go 2-2. Be okay to have 5-0. Or 4-1.

When the waves are pushing you forward, or you're running with them, it's considered a following sea. Has nothing to do with tide.

I honestly didn't really see anything worth talking about. ... It was a little choppy leaving the inlet. Seems like all the boaters are accustomed to this and don't think much of it.

I know it’s a dick move but it’s always been a pet peeve of mine I can’t let go…..Just as with cars, the same goes with boats. Unless you’re driving F-1, Indy Car, or Powerboat Racing , you’re more than likely to ROLL your car or boat, not FLIP IT! So don’t hate so hard on ol Cap for gettin a little indecisive on the timing a turn during a set when you don’t know the difference between what is a FLIP or a ROLL. Off my soapbox. My apologies
