I've had my 13 pro max since release date, works and looks like new, I'm definitely going to wait until the iPhone 20 Ultra Pro Max Delta with 7.5 inch display, dynamic dot, slimmer than any iPhone ever made before with a 6000mah battery, A22 chip, 6 cameras (four in the back, two in the front) 50 hour video playback, 16k resolution, Bluetooth 8.0, quadruple E-Sim, fingerprint/ultimate face id, usbc, 4000 knits brightness, 3d touch will be back instead of haptic. 3tb storage, at $2199.99 yea I'm excited.

I did the exact thing you suggested after upgrading from my 11- bought a 13 Pro instead of the 14 Pro. Saved $200 off the original retail price plus got $400 trade in credit, so overall I’m very happy I saved a bunch especially when the 13 Pro does 90-95% of what the 14 Pro does.

I just got a new series 7 cellular Apple Watch that was on clearance for half the price of the series 8 cellular, I’m very happy, I don’t need crash detection! So, the same with iPhones, the new iPhone 14 is simply a 13S and you’re absolutely right, it’s much more sensible to just go with the a new iPhone 13 wherever you can find one! 👍🏻👍🏻

Iv had the 13 pro max now for about 4 months and it’s the best iPhone iv ever had the battery is phenomenal It last forever the camera is brilliant aswell playing games on it is great it’s hands down the best phone iv had and it’s very tuff aswell

my mum's iPhone XR was recently stolen and she was thinking of buying the iPhone 14 but I did not let her waste an extra $100 on the 14 when the 13 is still available and literally has the same specs. She mainly uses her phone to talk to her friends and watch youtube so nothing else was really that much of a focus aside from battery life. I have an iPhone 13 and the battery life is impressive for the price so I made her buy the 13 instead. sharing this video with my mum now :p

I saw a video that Luke Miani did where Luke and some of his friends tried to safely crash their cars to set of the crash detection features on the iPhone 14. Sadly the iPhone did not activate when the car crashed. Hopefully Apple can resolve that problem before crash detection is actually needed.

Hmmmm, I never thought about how the island will always be on and getting in the way. That is giving me something to think about now before I get the 14PM.

I’m kinda tempted to go with the 13 pro max seeing as everyone is saying how much of a better experience they’ve had with it. The 14 pro is great. I love all the camera upgrades and the dynamic island and everything super cool. But I honestly prefer the notch. They should make a dynamic notch lol. I’ve actually seen it done before on a MacBook. But while you can find the 13 pro max cheaper outright…there’s actually better deals going with the 14’s since i can get 800-1000 dollars for my old phone with a trade in through my service provider.

If the size is most important feature for you, I’d consider the iPhone 14 Plus as well tbh, since it’s basically an iPhone 13 on steroids. Sure the cameras aren’t as great as a Pro Max but the 14 Plus is still great all around and a overall better value. I think it depends most heavily on what phone you currently have?

oh god same! I've wanted the 13 pro max for the longest time now(I have an iPhone 11) but then I saw the dynamic island on the 14 pro max and as stupid as it sounds I kinda like it. however, apart from this, there are no redeeming qualities about the 14 pro lineup. ive heard the battery life is significantly worse on it, the night mode is abysmal compared to the 13s and the overall experience isn't as nice as the 13s was. I think I'll wait a year and see if I still want it

Dad, I did this and love 13 Pro Max. Bought used on swappa for $750 + tax.

I'm one of those users who is moaning about the sim tray being removed so for the foreseeable future, I'll be hanging onto my 13 Pro.

I’ve had my 13 pro max since July. I had the 12 mini before. As cute as the 12 mini is the battery life just sucked. I went with the 13 pro max (blue) and haven’t looked back. It will be my last iPhone for a while

You forgot one key spec difference from the regular 13 to the 14: 4Gb to 6Gb of RAM. As you mentioned longevity, it'll surely have a great impact in the future. But, you can find 13 pros for less than the 14 costs, and they both have 6Gb.

I want a Mini Pro, iPhone Mini size with Camera and features of the Pro Model. And of course USB3. I have a 12 Pro and wont replace it with another iPhone without USB3.

I got the 14 Pro Max because I don’t like the notch. The Dynamic Island is easier to deal with since it’s an active part of the UI instead of a static blob at the top of the screen. I switched from Android, a OnePlus 7 Pro, which I’m keeping. 🧔🏻‍♂️👍🏻

I still have a 6 plus, and am still deciding which to upgrade to.

You have iPhone Pro Max starting at 1099 dollars. In Europe the prices are going crazy. Right now the cheapest price for iPhone 14 Pro Max in Estonia is 1498 euros (1484 dollars). I just bought iPhone 13 Pro and it was 1199 euros (1187 dollars). NB: Average gross monthly wage in Estonia in 2022 is 1693 eur, in the US it is 6238 eur :)))

I agree. I wanted to upgrade to an iPhone 13 Pro Max, but I waited too late, and they were no longer available. I was only upgrading for the freaking battery life; I went with a 14 Pro Max over the 14 Pro for the battery life.

I am with when you when it comes to the dynamic island, which esp is getting on my nerves when the headphones run out of battery… that’s why I sold my new 14 pro (not max). Now I am stuck with which one I should buy instead, unfortunately a 13 pro max with 256 hab comes at 1.400€ in Germany, so that no option these days… maybe a basic 13.

I was initially tempted to upgrade to the 14P, but I can’t seem to like the dynamic island. Coupled with the cases I’ve read from people whose 14P/14PM would stop working for some odd reason, I feel comfortable with not upgrading for once :). I’ll hold and see if the 15 will bring anything exciting. Worst case scenario I’ll just replace the battery on the 13P before AC+ runs out.

I feel the exact same way about that cursed island. So much that I ended up returning it. I’m going to hold on to my 13 Pro until that thing goes away. Please Apple, make it go away.

I bought an iPhone 13 Pro Max last year December. The phone is great up until now, my phones battery health has dropped far down. My iPad charges faster on the same 20w charger head. For example: I started charging my phone at 9:30am and it’s 12:00pm and it’s still not at a 100% 😩😩

I moving from the 14 Pro Max back to the 13 Pro Max. I don't care for the dynamic island. I've never used it and I find it more noticeable and intrusive than the notch. I also despise that they have removed the SIM card tray and gone to eSIM. If you like to swap between devices (iPhone and Android) like I do this is incredibly inconvenient and annoying not to mention my carrier, T-Mobile, has suspended the ability to swap eSIMs via the website, you now have to call. I feel like they might start charging for the service in the near future. I also found the battery life on my 13 Pro Max better than the 14.

Fact i also find the dynamic island intrusive and esim is another issue,i switch between my s22 ultra and iphone all the time so esim is nothing but a headache.Last time it took me 45 minutes to transfert my number to esim after that i just returned the 14 pro max and kept the 13 pro max

Not buying another iPhone until they get rid of the notch/dynamic island. I usually upgrade every year but this year I opted out for first time in 6 years. Gonna keep my 13 Pro Max till the notch is gone. Also even worse they took the SIM card slot away, such a terrible idea for businessmen that need to swap their phone or have a backup phone they can switch their service to. There is not any way to activate an e-sim without having a connection in the first place.. hiking/sports if your phone breaks you can’t just swap the SIM card which sucks and leaves you SOL.

Hey Gary. I found the 13 pro at almost brand new condition for 850$ at a local store of mine. Should I get it, because it's tempting me a lot.

Not forget : iPhone 13 are 1 year old (somewhere stored) devices with aged battery. Maybe stored good, but the battery still aging.

It’s sick to see the kinds of prices US customers are treated with. My mobile company in EU sells the cheapest iPhone 13 Pro (128) for 1129 euros. For ~800 dollars it’s obviously a no brainer, but even regular 13 is 850 here.

The 14 Pro Max was way too glitchy at launch and for me it just never got better. Finally decided to return it and grab a 13 Pro Max. Got mine from Best Buy for $999 I honestly prefer the notch over the dynamic island which was just a gimmick. Let’s be real. I don’t like that the dynamic island cut more intro the screen than the notch. Like really Apple? 🤬

I want to cry when I heard the 14 pro max price at $1099. Here in New Zealand my 13 pro max that I bought outright was $2199!

I have an iPhone 7+…I waited for 14 to come out. Now I am rethinking and wondering if I should get the 13 pro max…obviously I keep phones an extremely long time, so which am I going to get now. Took me forever to get to this point and will now be backtracking. Never going to buy a new iPhone at this point, 🤦‍♀️

After the ios 16 update on my iphone 13pm i don’t feel great about the battery life anymore, its only 2 months old and the phone was manafactured around august and i bought around September, battery is still at 100% but it just drops fast on normal usage

just switching from android so the 14 p was my go to since the 13 pro is still almost the same price where i live. I am also pretty sure apple will change the AOD with time so you can make it completely black out. With the kind of flak its getting.

You can black out the AOD. Just make your wallpaper black and if you want to further the customization, assign a focus mode. I have the 13 pro max but figured this tip might help a few 14 pro owners.

I only upgraded because they gave me $800 for my old XR. I still am keeping my 12 Pro Max in the family, it’s going to my son. I’ll still see what the 15 series brings, but of course that’s 11 months away.

Another argument to get the 13 Pro (Max) if you’re not in the US is the insane price hike on the 14 models. The 14 Pro 128GB model is almost €1500, an increase of almost €200 compared to the 13 Pro. A managed to get a brand new 1TB 13 Pro for €1100, so still several hundred euros cheaper than the 128 GB 14 Pro model. There was no doubt in my mind that it was the right choice. Having said that though I still think the dynamic island is a brilliant idea and I can’t deny that I’m a little jealous of it!

iPhones have _low-freq PWM_ which kinda hurts your eyes when you use them in the dark 😢 Golden rule is don't look at screens lights off tho

Please help me as I am interested in a Max because of the screen size when watching videos. I am sure I am not alone contemplating this and wants to know more down to earth usage than specs and other trades. Can you have this phone in your front pocket of jeans and walk up stairs? In loose fitting shorts without it feeling like a brick wearing them down? I have medium size hands and still have to use both hands for most on my regular pro so I assume this would not be much of a difference given the max is 5 mm wider? I would be very happy for an answer. Cheers

I bought a new, sealed package iPhone 13 pro max and it costed me 900 dollars. Sold by one of the many 3rd party sellers that can be found pretty much at any corner. An excellent deal that I’d be a fool to let it pass by. I upgraded from my iPhone XR and Zero regrets so far. Love the promotion, bigger display, premium build, better battery life and better reception overall. Also, there isn’t any noticeable different between the 13 pro max and 14 pro max aside from the dynamic island, which is fancy but nothing mind blowing and slight improvement that don’t really justify an upgrade should you decide to go for an iPhone 13 lineup phone
