CT is running out of ideas if they keep making a pillowtalk everything. It’s boring, expensive, overrated, and repetitive. For how much she charges, the shade range is crap too. With inflation going on, I can’t justify spending $50 on a blush wand where only one shade will show up on me after building it up because there is not a lot of product. I live for Elf duping everything CT makes because the price is better. At this point, CT being boring is hardcore benefitting Elf with their profits. Edit: their packaging is also cheap AF for how high end CT is. Saw a dude on Instagram show us his Hollywood Flawless Filter and the bottle leaks, the cap broke, and all of the text rubbed off in like 2 months. Bro deadass said if CT won’t up their game, then Elf will 💀💀💀

I started working for MAC in 1996 before Lauder with Frank and Frank, and continued to work for/with them until 2007. You’re right. They were untouchable. It breaks my heart to see what the brand has become. We cried when the Lauder takeover was announced in 1998, because we knew it would never be as special again. The early days were MAGICAL.

The high end makeup does cater more to a mature skin type often times bc women who are 40+ are much more likely to have the money to drop on a high end product than a college student for instance. These high end brands know who really is buying their products and for the price they charge it better work well. Even ppl who are well off don't like to feey ripped off.

Flour is bleached by adding benzoyl peroxide to the stuff after it has been ground. Apparently you can use gases instead, such as chlorine. It isnt just bread that is highly sweetened compared to European versions, US yoghurts and juice drinks are though the roof too. I believe a lot of corn syrup is added to food in the US. I find it largely inedible because I am used to UK food standards, which arent perfect either.

My favorite small brand is Kikiz Cosmeticz, and she makes lip glosses and some other items, but with her glosses, people always say that she doesnt fill the tube up all the way because she has to leave room for the wand. She has shown countless times that if she tries to put any more product in the bottle, it will spill out the top into the lid n stuff, but people still complain that its not full because when you *take the wand out* its not full 😂

For the first time I tried powder foundation and I'm in love, I got the Fenty beauty one and my skin never looked so beautiful. I have a very limited amount of makeup and that foundation with Hindash pallet are the most expensive makeup I own (didn't buy it myself though, I can only buy very cheap makeup). Both being a total of 95 euro. I'm glad you guys did not hype those high end make up as if they were better than drugstore makeup, for example, cause I need affordable options.

I’d like to say thank you to KZread for putting you in my feed because this is the makeup content I enjoy and want to watch. I survived the “beauty community” bullshit from a few years ago. Now on to my comments, as someone who is turning 42 this year, omg shoes and retinol spoke to me. In regards to Tom Ford, I do love their dual sided eyeliner. I buy once every couple of years. That being said, for those that don’t know Tom Ford and Estée Lauder are owned by the same company and if you have an outlet mall near you you may have the outlet store that sales Tome Ford for a fraction of the regular price. If you want to try some Tom Ford go that way. As someone with super dry skin in Colorado I have found that using the stick sunscreen in the blue and white component works great under my makeup! It’s a great primer and you can use it all over your face, arms, and everywhere. Love it. Also, I agree with the Natasha Denona and Hourglass comments. Love them. Haven’t brought myself to trying their newer foundations but I loved their air spray foundation. God, I loved that one.

I remember elf had a cream shadow/highlighter that was ahead of its time for drugstore. Bought it at Target and it was a real find. Champagne with no glitter.

I just love this! Keep it going! I SO appreciate how you’ve kept Kevin on! When I watch you two, I can just feel Johnny has some trauma, and man I’m sorry, I hope one day you’ll heal. Remember not everyone is shitty. I feel like if I met you two in real life, first off I would gag lol probably be speechless, but I just envision Johnny telling me off for thinking he’s my best friend and then Kevin being like “here’s my shoulder to cry on.” Lol You two are so different but equally bring makeup to its knees. Love you both so much! ❤❤ and I would LOVE if you had Kimora black as a guest one day! And Jeffrey star, I know he’s probably like a soulless demon, but I dk he’s an OG from my early days, and even tho he is controlled, I would love to see Johnny interview him hahaha. And plz I’m missing MaC and Barbara! And another if brands had a meeting. That elf one was on fire! And Nars! I still watch those skits anytime I’m sad bc they are like “the office” in terms of never getting old!

OMG you guys 😂🤣😂🤣 i laughed so hard this time. You two together.. i just need more of you both talking about make up and more stuff. 1h in a week is not enough! 💜 Just a tipp. I'm more a visual person then remembering names. Maybe not the only one. I would love to see the products (you just talk about and i know its a lot of products), just a picture for a 5-10 seconds on screen. So maybe we can Screenshot it (what i do from shorts) and "see" it and not just hear the name of it. Greetings from Germany 🌸

I totally agree that SPF shouldn’t really be in makeup! While the sunscreen itself is safe, I think its presence is actually harmful. It lulls consumers into a false sense of security that they’re getting some sort of sun protection from on their makeup when they aren’t. The recommended amount for the just the face is actually about .25 teaspoon, not a tablespoon, but that’s still 2-3X more product AT LEAST than someone is using when they’re doing a full face of foundation. If you were using that much foundation daily, not only would you look terrible, but you’d be blowing through an multiple bottles of foundation a month. That’d be pretty expensive!

High end that's worth it to me Eyeshadow - Pat McGrath I buy a lot of indie shadows and she's the only one doing these level of multichromes. The formula is always pigmented enough and blends. If you buy eyeshadow singles four multichromes are pricy. It's not private labeled ❤.

I have super dry skin so i hardly ever use powder, and when i do its the Dior powder no powder because it actually looks good on my skin. I just havent found another powder (setting powder, finishing powder, touch up powder, powder foundation, loose or pressed powder, it doesnt matter) that looks good on my skin🤷‍♀️ i use all cream products outside eyeshadow, and even then most of the time i just pop a Danessa Myricks gel chrome flakes in my inner corner, and i bring it up my crease like 1/3 of the way in. I have hooded eyes so i go right above my crease, but i have been doing my inner corner highlight like that for years and now i cant do it the way everyone else does😂🤷‍♀️ anyways random af rant over😂😂

Talking about MAC, it is one of my friend's favorite brands and that's like the only brand she wears. I think it really is the nostalgia that helps to keep MAC in business. I really enjoy the fix+ spray. Repurchased it as a full size after I finished trying the mini. I still look at them as being up there with clinique, Estee Lauder, and lancome.

Would love to hear your thoughts on Chanel makeup quality and.pricing as lately seems like lots of complaints about their overpriced declining quality handbags etc and wonder if it has also impacted makeup side. I save up to buy their nail polish and cuticle oil as my special treat -love the iconic packaging etc but perhaps am being ripped off 😢
