Hi there! I don't play Need for speed carbon for a very long time but manual gearbox will increase top speed in any car, and i never really noticed any difference between low RPM or high RPM, nice vid btw!

Yup, youre faster in manual always, I was just not sure if mby using manual with clutch could get better acceleration on turbo. Thanks for confirmation!

@@babiniu you're welcome! Also unfortunately manual gearbox with clutch doesn't seems to make any difference in carbon :I only on prostreet makes a very noticeable difference when shifting gears, looking forward for more vids!

this is a bit weird. because a few years ago i could clearly feel the difference between a torque upgrade engine + turbo than a horsepower engine + turbo. but anyways, thanks for the comparison :)

Because u twisting 2 things. Its not that turbo changing something, its engine that was changing stuff. Check part 1 of vid in description. Torque give u less speed and less acceleration, than horsepower

Ye it was rly problematic video and I changed what I should add or remove many times. Im glad you like it! Part 3 with suspension tyres and breaks should be by end of this month, so stay tuned!

Still play carbon to this day, and never paid much attention to the difference to the performance parts when upgrading my car. Great video!

I love how on the Corvette when using nitrous the transmission can't keep up with the gear changes and just fucking breaks, lmao

I remember as i kid i tuned the viper to rev as low as possible it maybe reved to less than 5k rpm, i maxed engine tourque, acceleration for transmission and low for turbo/supercharger

Actual serious summary: When tuning the transmission, choose top speed When tuning the NOS, choose velocity When tuning the turbo, choose whatever you want, the difference in tuning is practically insignificant EDIT at the request of @babiniu: don't focus too much on top speed, as the game's not really designed around it

@@LotsOfToubleUsuallySerious YEES, only what I would add is to not focus that much on buying transmission, as top speed is not that important because there are not so many roads where u reach anything close to top speed. Thanks for good summary

Honestly, i found some differnces. E.g when using the elise, i tuned the turbo towards low rpm and i had good initail accleration but the car sytuggled past 285 km/h for some reason. Even tho the car was fully upgraded. Then i went for high rpm, the elise then acclerated tad bit slower but it had good constant power in higher gears and was abe to reach 320 km/h without Nos. I play in manaul as well, as the car revs higher. But in low rpm the car just could reach red line past 4th gear.

@@sgr.2011 there will be for junkman in the future. Other than that there is not much setting to change, or that might suprise. Only transmission upgrades sometimes reducing top speed but I covered that in shorts vid (viper and Ford gt)

I heard that max ride height should be +5 because it results in less speed loss on bumps without any downsides, also I personally go aero +5 on all cars , but tbf u got me thinking about these differences a little bit more. Maaybe there will be video about this if I get scenario for smth longer than few lines of text haha

manual transmission is better because you can change gears at a higher rev, unlike the automatic transmission which shifts way too early.

@@domkovi I was asking about acceleration, my point was that mby somehow stock would be faster than tuned when on automatic, but slower on manual. I know about top speed stuff

@@babiniu For speedrunning, we also use manual(+ clutch!) to keep more speed from jumps (along with speedbreaker, depending on the jump)

Shitfs at redline but i modified the games redline to be just a tag bit

Tbf i always changed settings on transmition to give it better accelaration on muscle cars and it always worked nicenlly.

if u didnt use any mods, then confirmation bias kicked in there. Some mods might fix tuning stuff (for example cbr had fixed nitrous tuning)

And u didn't notice that transmission can slower your car, or when u choose acceleration it doesnt increase it compared to top speed setting? Where it's doing what it should be doing aka increase acceration? Or im missing smth?

@@babiniu now that you explained it, i understood better than the video, basically acceleration slider is broken, and acts as stock. while top speed slider does what it should do.

While this is informative, I think the comparison based only on speed on straight road doesn't show the full story. Some test for torque is also needed. Like coming out of a corner or time taken to reach a certain speed that is not near top speed.

Differences would be barely noticable in corners and if you would use full lap to show difference in time u still cant drive same lap same way as u did before in previous settings. Even f1 drivers cant perform over and over same laps. But hey if there is smth like in mario where u can add imputs frame by frame to show best time possible then ill be happy to test it again! Not sure what do u mean about reaching certain speed that is not near top speed, u have acceleration test in video where I go from 0 to x, its not near top speed, also u can pause on frames that u want, to see differences in speed

Tuning setting will work same way no mater manual or automatic (aka it its broken for both manual and automatic)
