Something that’s been bringing me joy and an extra lil detail to my outfits is taking clip on earrings and attaching them to the collar of my tops. You can also add a lil chain to either side for more drama too.

This is the first I've heard the suggestion, and I thank you so much! I inherited a bunch of clip-ons when my grandma passed a year ago, but for sentimental reasons I wasn't able to give them up. Now I know how I can start using them again.

I’ve recently discovered the joy of layering a slip dress with flouncy pants and I loveee it and love it even more that it’s been corroborated here 💚💪🏼

The neutral fit was my fave. That Dior gown over linen pants?! TO DIE! I’ve seen someone use brooches to bunch up skirts and long shirts to add texture without adding layers. my first thought was howww am i gonna wear a sweater vest in the South in June- but my takeaway from this video is, it would be a neat challenge to cobble together the coolest outfit possible and still be comfortable lol. gotta break those walls and take down the barriers we impose on ourselves~

These days ive been wearing outfits that are a bit out of my comfort zone, you are my main inspiration tbh.

“Outfit recipe” is the perfect term for the concept I was trying to pin down when creating a mood board for a character recently. I came up with “tight tank top and baggy pants” which isn’t original but is a style I noticed I like a lot on myself. Gonna have to participate in this challenge since I found this video so soon!

I wish I could wear a sweater vest in the summer but I am far too heat intolerant for that. I would literally pass out. Most layering I sadly cannot do during the summer, I am la sad. (Tldr; long maxi falls off in public *yesterday*, still looks chic) I too love a long skirt with a tank top. However, yesterday I learned that if your body shape has changed and your long skirt is a wrap, give it a test run at home, in case maybe you once had hips but now do not, and said elegant and chic outfit gets a tad bit ruined WHEN YOUR SKIRT FALLS OFF COMPLETELY IN THE SELF CHECKOUT at Walmart. good news, much less emotionally traumatic than I would have thought, most ppl pretended not to notice and an elderly lady successfully contained her laughter with incredible effort.

your ending note on learning through challenges is so true. Our initial reaction when an outfit doesn't look good is frustration but hearing you say that helps me rethink the way I dress and have fun too even if things don't go the way I expected.

Graphoc novels: - the well, surviving the city, Cheshire crossing, fangirl, moon cakes, in real life, garlic and the vampire, batter royale.... I am a big time reader 😅

My go to is always long top and short shorts or small top and loooong skirt. Oh, I highly recommend The Dark-Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon. There's a graphic novel series based on the books. Basically it's about ancient vampire hunters that are born from betrayal. There's also lots of romance! Not to mention the art is very good~

Going to the library and bringing home 10+ graphic novels is also one of my favorite activies. Recommendations: Marbles by Ellen Forney (I reread it about once a year), anything and everything by Chris Ware, Can’t We Talk About Something More Pleasant by Roz Chast, Laura Dean Keeps Breaking Up With Me, the Saga comics series…I could go on but I need to stop myself, just like at the library.

my graphic novel rec is Shade the Changing Girl, vol 1. it came out a few years ago and was part of the DC imprint, Young Animal, that Gerard Way oversaw. psychedelic, dreamy art, and small-town high school intrigue through the eyes of an alien woman going through something like a quarter life crisis.

Thieves is a great comic book! Also love Laura dean keeps breaking up with me

Oh i was hoping that you added a skirt or a puffy skirt underneath the purple skirt with the purple vest to give it more volume eheh but the belt looked fun too and now I have two extra tricks up my sleeve if I don't like an outfit!

The Kina & Tam pieces are so gorgeous, that doll jacket, oh baby. I’m in love 😍 and the cardigan? I’m done for. Actually, they’re all straight up gems. So…I’m hitting the thrift stores tmr, anyone need me to pick up something cute for them?🤓
