I did the math. Bob had approx. 0.6% likelihood of getting that many rolls without a six. The probability of rolling 9 fives in a row is about 0.0001%. Bob really showed extreme luck and probability-bending math, just not in the good way.

The math checks out, but Bob didn't roll 9 fives 'in a row', they were separate. The highest number of fives he got in a row was 4, which is about 0.077% chance. Still low, just not as low. Another thing: the probability of Bob rolling 28 times with no sixes and then finally getting a six on the 29th roll is around 0.1%. Dammit, Bob.

I did some more math on Bob’s fives. To roll exactly 9 fives in 28 total roles is 28 nCr 9 * ((1/6)^9)*((5/6)^19)*100 ≈ 2.15%. He had a 99.39% chance to roll any sixes (1-28) out of 28. This means _he was 46 times more likely to roll any given amount of sixes than he was to roll 9 fives in 28 rolls total._ An amazing feat of chance, miserable when you’re on the losing end of fate. Well there's 28 spaces Mark could have been on the board, so he had a 1/28 chance of being on that specific space, and Wade made 2 1/6 probability rolls (The 6 to get out of home, the 1 to jump on Mark) So it would be (1/28)*(1/6)*(1/6), which multiplies to a *1/1008 chance* of that specific scenario happening.

But mark rolled onto that space as well, which was part of the "What're the chances" sequence. Which means you have to include Mark's roll as well. So the math is (1/28)*(1/6)*(1/6)*(1/6) for a grand total of 1/6048, or a ~0.02% chance. Or if you want to be specific, it's a ~0.016534391% chance.

I just googled it to be sure and this is what came up on Wikipedia: "The name of the game means "Do not get angry" (literally "Do not get angry, man" or "Do not get angry, buddy"). The name derives from the fact that a peg is sent back to the "out" field when another peg lands on it, similar to the game Sorry!."

Whenever I play this game, I usually have it so that a 1 and a 6 gets you out of home. One's don't let you go twice, but it's better than being stuck in home all game.

I think technically, this is supposed to be a more rigid version of parchisi, not letting you jump any pawns on the track, so they played this with very liberal rules iirc. Sorry!, is the game you can jump over pieces, but still knock them back, as well as have more cards that get you out of start. They played that too, also initially wrong lmao.

The endgame of it all was absolutely amazing. Bob and Wade had NO chance to pass Mark and so, Wade slowly from rolling anything but a 6, then finally getting it and screaming "ayYYYYYYYYY" to every other roll, Mark SLOWLY making his way to victory with low rolls and then Bob who kept rolling anything besides 6 (mostly 5) and then finally rolling a 6 at the end is just comedic gold. This right there has to be one of the best videos that Mark has on his channel
