Inspirational as always! I am developing a good package for me right now. Bike ride 20km with intervalls to a quiet spot in nature. Focusing there with some relaxing/stretching/yoga time on a blanket. Then reading some good book. Riding back home thinking about the good stuff i just read... Its like a wellness program - at low cost and can do it everyday, whenever the weather is good.

So you don't want to hyperventilate, tingle, and get light-headed. Take deep breaths in and out just before the point of hyperventilating. Just enough to get plenty of oxygen in and get as much CO2 out without screwing your o2/co2 levels in your bloodstream. Should feel the muscles getting worked out in your belly, your diaphragm. Obviously the more you do this the more o2 you can take in and the more co2 you can get rid of and the more you can control the muscles of your belly.

I do 35 breaths like this(no breath hold though) before squats or weighted lunges and the difference in output is stunning. I can do 5, sometimes 10 more reps then my usual. Great for cycling and assault bike too.👍

I have asthma. I will try this. I hope it will reduce my 'hidden asthma' I get on long rides or climbing. So I can do my first race more in the swiss alps more relaxed.

you should also you your belly to breathe more so than your chest. the belly should help you with the tempo and help the diaphragm. not your chest. the same on the bike. cheers.

3 rounds increasing time exponentially each day. It's amazing with the wim hof breathing method how long I can hold my breath after 1 month.
