I woke up with this song in my spirit. As a young girl we would sing this song in church, at Bible study, and at home with my parents. Here I am in my 50s and this same song gives me the same tears n warm embrace it did when I sang n worship the Lord at a young age in the 80s. I know that the same God then, is the same God that is near.

Now THIS is actual praise music! Thank you! I really appreciate this as I love to praise the Lord and not be made to feel like I'm at some sort of concert being distracted by the flamboyant surroundings. It's all about praising God amen! God inhabits the praise of His people!! ( see Psalm 22:3)

Yeah, my church did them both last Sunday morning, too. Very interesting!
Why replace 'help me know you're near' with 'I know that you're near' ! I mean this changes the message and the spirit behind the song

Okay, I know it was originally titled "90s Throwback", but if you're going to change the title you can at least use the correct title for one of the most iconic songs of that decade: Draw Me Close. Thank you, Kelly Carpenter. :)

(they didn't change the title, they just published it with one title under Bethel Music and a different title under Bethel TV)
Why are they laughing, and what are those people doing in the background. Such a beautiful song and he sings with such feeling, such a shame, it ruined it for me

This snippet was taken from a live worship encounter night and people were experiencing God's presence and responding. Brian himself was probably overjoyed that people were focusing on Jesus and not just his performance.
