Tee Hee, I brought this up to you in your other video. Now, “Shrinky Dinks,” as they were called I believe are no longer made. I still refer to this as such because that company started it. A Resin company…, has come up with a similar way to use wire and shrink the resin onto it. I’d love to hear what others think about this? Anyhooo, I loved how these turned out. Claire, I need to purchase these items now… 😂

I don’t know if anyone has given this tip before but if you get some printable shrink plastic, print a ruler then shrink it, it’ll give you an idea of what your stamps will shrink to xx

Hi Claire, I absolutely love your enthusiasm ❤️ 😊 If you would like to try and gauge the size of the shruken piece you are creating. Draw a ruler on the shrink plastic using centemetres, or what ever measure your using. Cut out the ruler and shrink it in the usual way. Then if your creation is 6cms long on the normal sized ruler, look at 6cms on the shrunken ruler. This will give you the rough size it will shrink to. Hope this makes sense. Keep doing all that you do, we appreciate everything.😊😊

LOVE it! Yes, Shrinky Dink is soooo much fun, even for adults! And for the kind that comes shiny on both sides, you have to take an extra step to sand one side in all directions first, so having a pre-roughened side is easier. Coloring of almost any media on the shiny side just wipes off or smears after baking. I cut mine with cuticle scissors - you have to be extra careful with larger scissors because it can accidentally tear the shrink plastic as you're cutting. And if you punch the hole before baking, be sure to use the larger size hole punch! Many crafters already own a Crop A Dile, so y'all can use the larger hole punch setting and it makes a perfect jump ring hole as the hole does shrink quite a lot. Hope you have fun with your new crafty find! Coloring can be so relaxing, and coloring on shrink plastic just takes it to the next level!

Oh wow this brought back memories, I remember shrinking empty crisps packets in the oven as a kid and making key rings out of them. I think we called them shrinkie dinks here in australia too or it may have been shrinkies. I started to panic when the plastic all crinkled up on itself but then breathed out once it fixed itself! 😂 these turned out so stinking adorable!!

I know I have also had good results putting my sheets in my ink jet printer. Let the ink dry then I use colored pencils. Water colors. Markers. I just the the shrinky dink plastic lol
