I've seen the second method you showed here, but the 2 others that showed it with the object ball always positioned at a pocket...making it look like it was a kick when the ball was at the pocket ( both of them kept saying to place the tip of your stick aiming to the opposite 'pocket' blah, blah, blah...). I instantly got it when you showed it. The ball wasn't even close to the pocket and you said just to put/aim your stick to the 'opposite RAIL.' WOW...what a difference it made. No way to thank you enough. I get it now. I'll be using it, and the other 2 because you did make them easy to understand...made it very simple. Best to you my friend.

Great job as always. There is a new system being unveiled by Poolometry that may take over one of those top spots, time will tell.

@@MrCueBall I have worked in the background with him and speed is also accounted for, which as you pointed out normally causes us to miss.

Of course. It can be said that the speed of the shot has the greatest impact on the behavior of the cue ball. This will be very clearly visible in future episodes where I will discuss the impact of shot speed on the behavior of the cue ball in relation to various situations🙂

1st and 3rd method are ok. Second method is geometrically wrong tho. If you try to apply that method to the situation of the 1st methos (two balls in the parallell line respect to the long rail) you will be hitting the cue ball without angle. It works "well" when the shift between the cue ball, object ball and long rail are 1 diamond or more appart. Anyway, great video, very informative! :)

First of all thanks for your comment. I am surprised you said that 2nd system is wrong. Many pool players use this system very often. It works well everytime and I tried to check whether I did some mistake in my explanation but everything is fine🙏

@@MrCueBall You are welcome. Please note that I didn't say "wrong" but "geometrically wrong" It happens that besides loving playing pool I'm also a phycisist. Just think.... if you start slowly changing the initial position of the cue ball on the second method, to the point in which the cue ball is parallel to the object ball respect to the long rail. What would be the second method result?

The 2nd method doesn't work well when there's a lot of distance between the two balls. because doing the parallel shift is so hard to keep it EXACTLY parallel the entire movement. it's to easy to move front or back of cue off just 1 inch. 1 inch will be 2 inch off from target. seems like none of the pros does this measurement. do they just kind of eyeball it and are so accurate because of experience?

  • @MrCueBall

Yes, and I said it during video that this is very important to do all actions very precise because each small mistake can cause wrong contacts. I saw many times when players looking for correct lines but in most cases pro player know exactly how to aim without these systems. Many years of experience.
