You NEED This Backpack... Sort Of (Outward Definitive Edition)
This Outward BACKPACK is super cool. No, its stats aren't really that great, and no it doesn't even have that much carrying capacity. But what it does have is lore. And loads of it. The glowstone backpack is mysteriously locked behind a quest called the Purifier. You must complete this quest to grab it which seems a little odd. That is until you read the notes left behind by some bandits. It's possible this backpack was created as a means of controlling the Scourge monsters known as Immaculates.
Outward is an RPG/survival game that allows you take to make an almost infinite number of builds. Melee, magic, archery, and even traps are scattered across this harsh world in the form of skills. You must have a large amount of money to purchase these skills, but luckily the monsters drop extremely valuable items. The game has been harshly criticized due to how realistic and difficult it is. Feel free to subscribe and watch me beat the crap out of some crazy monsters.

The number of ways you can screw things up here, and the increase on chance to die every step... this place (and trying to get all rewards in one go) is nerve wrecking.

It is a challenge that's for sure. Luckily you can die and it doesn't royaly screw you up, but its really easy to miss a step.

@@SheenShots think the only compusory death is the fight with the immaculate, but some say one of the notes can "vanish"/not show, but...
Love your guides. Hopefully ull finish the all minibosses per area videos, would love to know exactly how many are there in other zones you havent covered

There are several items that provide a light source other than lanterns and torches. I want to do a "acts as a light source " build to be the shiniest adventurer in Aurai

Lmao this is basically me rn. Radiant wolf sword, lightmender backpack, rune lantern, lightmenders lexicon, and white priest's robes. Its a lightning build. If I used zhorn's glowstone dagger and the glowstone backpack I'd be even more radiant.
My best usecase for this bag is to get an epileptic seizure by using the bag on a speedboosted code sonic in the night

I don't know why nobody seems to know this and just assumes this backpack is useless BUT, Glowstone actually emits a light that is undetectable by enemies, unlike lanterns, so it can be used to see while sneaking.

also a really cool backpack to get if you are using the transmog mod make any backpack look like the glowstone and get the light but say the carry weight of mefino's

I am thinking of making a build that uses every bright item together. I call it the lightbulb build lol. Transmog might be necessary for it.

I had always looked at it simply by checking the stats. After taking a closer look at the lore here I realized it might not be for usability. Maybe its just aa story element. Kind of cool to come across!

Glad you enjoyed it! I used to mostly play halo until I bought my PC. Then the only thing I really was into was Destiny 2 which I don't play anymore. My first major RPG I got into was Remnant From the Ashes. Then not long after 100% ting that I started this channel on outward content and haven't looked back since. I am just now making my way through the souls games and enjoying them as well.

Yes absolutely. In fact it changes nothing other than the weapon skill. Any good lightning weapon will fit well here. You could also use radiant wolf sword with a shield. Starchild is better because of the higher impact, but slower attacks than the spear. Thanks I will catch you soon!

Glowstone backpack is the reason I want transmog on console. One of, if not the best looking backpack, but it's pretty much worthless.

There is a section in the Outward discord that is specifically for bug reports. I would check there first and then see if it gets looked at.

It would have been nice for it to have some other stat. Light isn't really enough incentive to use it.
