I remember this song way back 2005 in the Phils. Nag-away kami ng asawa kong hapon at umuwi ako sa Pinas bitbit anak namin 1 yr old pa sya noon. 6 months ako sa pinas at ayoko ko ng bumalik ng Japan. E2 yon lage pinatugtog ng kapatid ko sa car namin. Hanggang sa sinundo kami ng asawa ko para bumalik sa Japan. At pinadala sa akin ang CD na to ng kapatid ko hanggang Japan at lage ko din pinapa tugtog while tulog ang anak ko. Doon ko na realize na safe na safe pala kami ng anak ko sa asawa ko, I feel safe and I feel home in his arms. Sa awa ng Dios 22 yrs na kami and counting ng asawa ko at 3 na anak namin😂At 20 yrs old na ang panganay ko now nasa college na d2 sa Japan.

I love this song very much. During my college years I'm so stressed because of my decision on taking up Nursing as my degree. If you're going to ask me if I were given a chance to go back to my college years, I will not say yes. But looking back I surpassed those moments like secretly crying every night, regretting my decision, worrying about my future because I didn't like what I've chosen but it's my current job. Hahahaha. I don't know how I would tell my parents that I'm having difficulty with my course and I wanted to tell them that I want to shift but we're not rich and I'm already lucky that I passed in a school that has no tuition fee. I'm still thankful about those challenges I had because it made me stronger. This is one of the songs I'm listening during those days and up until now tears are falling off my eyes listening to this. It really has an impact on me or am I just being overdramatic? Hahahaha

Stell Ajero's cover of this song during his live last night for me is the best version I've ever heard.

The version of Elmo, Adie & Kean Cipriano of this song thats available in Apple music, in my opinion, wasnt able to give enough justice to this beautiful masterpiece. Yung areglo iba, the soul isnt there as opposed to Rico actually singing it. But of course they are not Rico to begin with. Just hope this original version is available there too 😔
