one of the most underrated Seger songs ever....always the first track i go to when i listen to Against the Wind

Being a huge Seger fan, this song inspired me to chase down a girl who I liked but didn't want to date me. She's been my wife for 22 years. Thanks Bob!

That is the BEST song he has. I was after a girl who had every excuse not to be my girl friend. I used the song to get her to give me our first kiss. I used the song the first time I asked her to marry me (Overlooking the Ocean in St. Augustine FL.) I used it the second time I asked (I had her in a row boat on the Neckar River in Germany). Weve been married 15 ½ years and have 5 children together. GREATEST SONG EVER!

Happy birthday heart throb Bob!! 71 years young...I'm grateful to have grown up in the 70's and 80's with your music inspiring me. I was a young girl with dreams and your music also touched my soul. Thanks for all the great memories. I so can relate to your songs.I get to turn 60 this December and time marches on, but I still feel young at heart. Keep the music alive and keep on rocking...you sure could make great music!!

talk about authentic performers, this guy set the bar

I grew into a grown woman n the whole time Bob Seger was there every step his music isn't just the best his music is a lifestyle Amen he left every generation music for life!! Peace

One of the all around singers AND song writers ever. He has not only wrote his music but he's wrote music for a lot of other groups. if you want "good old time rock & roll" look and see who hes wrote music for.

Damn he sounds so good live,almost like the studio which is very rare

We had such a great variety of quality rock growing up. Poor kids today are fed garbage.. Funny thing, Bob Seger looks just like my big brother Jim Butler here; I wish I could tease my brother about it...

Love Seger. My sister introduced me to Bob and he linked us. She has passed and when I hear his voice I think of my sister.

Grew up listening to this great icon. One of a kind. My ex use to go hear him in Detroit when there wasn't even a cover charge in the bars he was playing in. U just never know what the future holds! Between Motown, Bob Seger & Kid Rock, that covers some of my most fav artists. Was so happy when Bob returned to the stage. Love so many of his songs. A true legend in his time! Loved the 70s!!! All we had to worry about then was cigs, beer & our daddy's curfew!!! Classic example of 'the GOOD ol'days! Keep rockin' Bob. We love U still!

Lea I remember laying in my bedroom on chilly MI. nights, knowing he was just 15 miles away from me preforming at Cobo Hall. Wishing so bad I could see him in person. He is certainly one of the best storytellers through music this 100 or so years will ever know. I was only 15 then, but somehow I knew those days were going to be some of the best of my life!!!

It would probably be an incredibly expensive show, but it would be awesome if Seger and the Eagles toured together. There is so much rock and roll history right there, and it'd be cool to see them all together singing background on each other's songs. Maybe have a few surprise guest appearances by Jackson Browne, too :) What a show...

These old videos often illustrate how, as performers, we should not take ourselves too seriously. Things that seemed soooo cool look soooo funny in hindsight. Though Seger was a great songwriter. He totally connected with the audience in that time.

it's stuff like this that bridges racial gaps an connects people. "human kinds best invention, music") the way he dressed and sang is truly beautiful. we can se so many influences but it really wasn't influence, it was/him just being himself

One of the best rap songs ever was Lose Yourself, no, not because a white guy wrote and sang it, but because it told a story a lot of people can relate to!!! Just like Night Moves, or Main Street.

Very underrated artist. Bruce got all the attention and awards, and ya, whose gonna argue with Springsteen, but when Seger got it right, I found his songs even more enjoyable than Bruces. This song, against the wind, beautiful loser, night moves, those all are equal if not greater than Springsteen.
