I think he plays through a real amp here and not the digital emulations he used on stage for years. The tone is so much better and does justice to his incredible musicianship.

i am 70 and remember decades ago i was the only one , the only one at the Maritime College listening to the Mahavishnu Orchestra , it was for me heaven and slowly at the Academy and onboard the vessels one by one i got more people into John McLaughlin an absolute master !!

Seeing Rhonda and Anika really hurts, I saw them with Jeff in DC a few months before we lost him. The longer he’s gone the more it hurts. Thank you ladies for a great concert with Jeff!

I should of spoke of when John came on stage, It was glorious.Jeff just destroyed the hall, everyone was mesmerized. John comes out and ask"s everyone for moment of silence To Pray. Unbelievably a third of the audience leaves.Better seats avail .What a mistake. The M.O. crushed it.52 years ago and he still kills it. Im going to take a moment to pray. T.Y. John and Jeff, PEACE

John is the most respected guitarist by Jeff Beck. Not one of the most.for Jeff, the most of the most. During the interview after releasing Blow by brow, when Jeff was asked about John, Jeff stopped the question and said “I can’t play as John!” It showed perfect respect for John.

Guess some folks here didn't know that Beck played this Mahavishnu staple in concert his last few years with us. He was a devotee of McLaughlin and they had a close friendship.

John is the most respected guitarist by Jeff Beck. Not one of the most.for Jeff, the most of the most. During the interview after releasing Blow by brow, when Jeff was asked about John, Jeff stopped the question and said “I can’t play as John!” It showed perfect respect for John.

Great stuff. I'm sure there is a reason but it would have been nice to see Jan Hammer at this. He played with both Jeff and John.
