4:16 It is unfortunately messed up: My family doctor when I called for an appointment, was a whole month plus out. My experience with urgent care was okay. One of the doctors there didn't give a shit about my infected hand, and the other did, but I was with them once. Internet urgent-care was WAY better. Actually got my infected hand on track and fully recovered.

First and most importantly, I'm so glad your daughter is doing well. Second, no matter what country we find ourselves in, there's always good and bad, and sometimes people don't want to get into a pissing contest about whose healthcare (or anything else) is worse - they just need to vent.

Bro BC hospitals are falling apart. NL is right lmao. I was up north last New Years Eve and dealing with stomach issues all through the holidays. They gave me morphine to stop the stomach cramping then kicked me out in -12c because emergency was going "life or death only". So here i am high on morphine walking to my coworkers house so I can crash on his couch and it was awful. They never even solved it, they gave me odancetron which is what they give cancer patients going through leukemia to help them eat then eventually it just went away. I still dont feel 100% tho even 1y out.

I've seen / experienced some god-awful levels of burnout, incompetence, and lack of care / lack of acess to testing or consultation, in the BC healthcare system. It's astounding how broken it is and just how alone you will find yourself if you actually need medical help. If you get sick, you're on your own. Plus, if your issue isn't glaringly obvious to even the least competent as to the cause and how to treat it, you'll be gaslit.

They are also straight up lying. There is an estimated 40,000 per year people who might have died because of inadequate healthcare. So mathematically you having a family member who died because of lack of healthcare is 0.67% and a friend is 2.6% over the last 10 years. America needs a better healthcare system but using emotional nonfactual arguments is the issue with the people that push universal healthcare. Those 40,000 people dying is bad enough it doesn't need to be 400,000 people to prove your point.

Community pharmacist is probably closer and more accessible, especially for minor aliments. Although in this case, I would still recommend to see a doctor if possible as unexplained vomiting could be serious. You can get novomin syrup if ur kid is above 2 years old and hyrolyte to replenish fluid loss from the pharmacy.
