YOU Killed These... And Cars Will NEVER Be The Same

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

With the auto crisis in full effect, car companies are left no choice but to discontinue some of their legacy models to make the shift to more fuel efficient cars.
2023 is not just about new trends like Grimace shakes and unexpected collaborations; it's also a year of goodbyes to some of our favorite cars. In this video, we're taking a solemn look at the over 20 cars being discontinued this year. From the Audi R8 to the Nissan Maxima, join us in bidding farewell to these automotive icons.
Starting with the Audi R8, a mid-engined marvel, we'll explore why these cars, including the Lamborghini Huracan and others like the Kia Rio, Jeep Cherokee, and even the Ford Edge, are being retired. Discover the mix of supercars and everyday vehicles that are driving into the sunset this year.
We'll also discuss the Nissan Maxima, the 'terror of the streets,' and its reputation among drivers. And it's not just about sedans; the end of the Dodge Challenger & Charger marks a significant shift in the muscle car world. We'll delve into the Chevrolet Camaro's fate, the Ferrari F8 Tributo, and why even the Kia Stinger and Chrysler 300 are saying goodbye.
Plus, don't miss our take on the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo, Audi TT, and the McLaren 720S, among others. We're also covering the Chevy Bolt EV and EUV's departure and the surprising goodbye to the Ford Transit Connect.
As we explore these departures, we invite you to share which car you'll miss the most and any global models we might have missed. Like, subscribe, and hit the notification bell for more content, and remember to live the IDEAL lifestyle!

I seriously thought about a Stinger. Aside from the fact there was no manual I thought it checked all the boxes for me.....until I test drove one. Don't get me wrong, a pleasant drive but it felt like it was assembled in an old Yugo factory somewhere in the old Soviet Bloc........quality was terrible, leather seams already stretching, creaking plastic seams....and this was one off the showroom floor!

I get tempted by Korean cars from time to time. I get put off when I hear about the row of cars at the dealerships waiting on replacement engines and reports of relatively new cars that are already burning oil.

I think they receive orders from another quarter that would rather see the fuel engine disappear. So that everything remains available to a select group of people and the common man has no choice but to drive an electric car

Well... All the more reason to stick to the used market I suppose. Most of these I'm not sad to see go. Others I'm crying on the inside. Dodge really needs to cleanup their reputation. But this can be easily done with PSAs, hosting sanctioned events, and increasing credit score qualifications. Droping two of the most iconic cars this century (and last) isn't going to associate the words "smart and responsible" with Dodge any time soon. And the Durango, why? As for the Camaro, pray they don't turn it into an SUV. We don't need another e-stang. No one wants an SUV with a sportscar name attached. That's just automotive heresy. Sad too, we just got that model back in 05 (or 06?). Now they're going to cancel it again in less than 20yrs. Speaking of which, isn't the Lightning and Mach-E going away as well? Maybe that was just a rumor. The vehicle cancel situation looks like a real gamble to me. On the one hand, killing these cars could mean the introduction of something awesome. On the other, it could just mean the introduction of something else no one wants. I really want ICEs to stay. By that I mean appropriately sized ICEs. None of this turbo I-4 full sized truck business. Battery powered vehicles are less suited for long distance travel and dedicated offroad applications (tanks, troop transport, logistical support, recon scouts, etc). They're also not the best at delivering high torque applications (Tractor-trailers, cranes, front-end loaders, dump trucks, etc). While clever gearing can give an EV loads of torque. Add a ton of weight and your operating time/distance drops significantly. That being said, ICEs shouldn't even be remotely close to being out of the fight. Water power (AKA, HHO), Hydrogen, Biofuel, Syngas (created through gasification), propane, and even Ammonia based fuels, all deserve heavy exploration and development as viable ICE fuel sources. All of these are much greener sources of power than gasoline. I'd be much more apt to re-tune my car on a different fuel than I would be to throw it out in favor of a glorified golf cart. Most people don't even realize that Gasoline, Diesel, Kerosene, asphault, plastics, solvants, paints, etc, are all biproducts of the crude oil distillation process. Essentially, if it's a chemical, polymer, or lubricant, it's probably made from crude oil. The rise of EV would most likely drive the cost of gasoline down. (Supply and demand) Hybrids are better than the rolling cell phone (EV), but rumor has it one of those (hybrid) caught fire and caused infrastructure failure to a whole parking garage. (Battery pack caught on fire.) There's also the whole void warranty nonsense going on these days over running over road debris. Battery-operated or augmented vehicles on a mass-production scale are just a mess right now. QA and testing is nowhere close to where it needs to be and "battery packs" are basically hundreds of small batteries all linked together, giving us consumers hundreds of potential failure points. Meanwhile, the manufacturer and insurance companies seem inclined to take responsibility on their terms and whenever they feel like it. No one seems to want to take on the battery pack liability, turning any EV into a potential hot potato where the consumer is the floor. If EV manufacturers focused on energy storage in the form of something like solid state graphene super-capacitors, we could have a lot more confidence in the EV market. However, so long as thermal runaway is still a real danger no one wants to take ownership of. The risk just isn't worth the reward. At least for me. Given the century-long track record of ICEs, it would seen very short-sighted to just trash them all in a short period of time. If anything, a very gradual replacement would seem to be in order. Similar to the fate of the horse and buggy. Granted, this video isn't an EV vs ICE debate. However, since the title is literally "Dodge can't save the Internal Combustion Engine", I thought I'd add some commentaty that outlines and explores the subject. Overall, I'm really hoping some of these lost treasures aren't being replaced by modern garbage piles shaped like cars. For others, they were just taking up space on lots anyway. Here's crossing my fingers for an optimistic automotive future. I won't be holding my breath though. As for the video, this is a good list video. No opinions, just facts and reporting. Works for me. Take care gents, Cheers

Trust me when people realise that the favourite driving battery that is also a SUV can burn them to death and still "Save" the planet they all will return to ICE soon or later Algae for example can be turned into Bio Fuel for ICE engines Sadly we use Salt water to make Li-ion batteries for our "VERY ECONOMIC ELECTRIC CARS" That totally isnt a driving Trash can after 5-10 Years Not to mention,Me gets Engine Replaced, costs 5-10K Meanwhile the Battery on a EV needs replacing and you pay 20-30K on it Well the future looks good for Humanity.
