I was lucky enough to be a 2000s kid, and Tony Stewart was, and still is, my all-time favorite driver... I still kinda miss him on the track (mainly because I feel bad for the way that his career had to end, the way it did), but at the same time, I'm glad that he's retired because he's older, in addition to running SHR and TSR, he gets to do whatever he wants, he gets to spend time with his wife, etc.. and it would be a once-in-a-lifetime type deal if I ever get to meet him....

@@BornAgainOutdoorsman I can understand why.... and he talks about in a lot of his interviews when, Tony was coming up from IndyCar, he had the Earnhardt, Gordon, Bobby Labonte, Dale Jarrett, the Burtons, who had this certain etiquette, where if you wrecked someone, you had time to sit down and think about, okay, why did I wreck him, and as the generations got younger, you saw that etiquette essentially disappear, which really is kinda sad....

I remember watching him in the early nineties on Thursday Night Thunder and thinking we had a real future legend in the making. He was beyond fearless, unafraid and unapologetic for being a hard charger. Needless to say, he was- and is- one of the absolute best in history. He actually came to our local short track- just as a guest. The track had a special tour in the house- the NEMA midgets, and one guy lost a motor in his heat race. Tony , who was up in the announcers tower watching came down, had them let him into the infield, rolled up his sleeves and helped that team change a motor! They repaid him with a third place finish in the feature. That was just the type of person he was. My Tony Stewart Home Depot jacket still sports his autograph. One thing- absolutely NO ONE could take the media to task like him!

The man who got me into racing. I was born the year he won his first title, I always loved the Home Depot 20 car shopping carts growing up, I remember him winning his 2nd in 05, i remember watching Jeff spin out from the lead right after Tony did the same thing at the Glen in 07 and Tony winning, I vividly remember the 2011 Chase, I remember the 2016 Sonoma race like it was yesterday. And I remember laughing at all of his golden interviews, because they still are as funny now as they were then. One of the best to ever put his hands on any steering wheel. (P.S. Nascar needs to change the voice of these segments if they want to attract a younger audience. Bob is a great guy in the nascar media and can be related to Woj or Shams in the NBA with his inside knowledge. But as far as a segment like this he seems like an uncle that’s just way to into it and kinda goofy and trying to hard. As despised as she is, have Danica on this segment, or even a Jeff Gordon for his name, or Clint Boyer for his personality, Bob just isn’t it the actual kids need someone a bit younger or with a bit more personality.

He is like a famous football quarterback. Gets all the glory for Touch downs. But his interceptions record is also in the hall of fame. He is a danger to everyone around him.

@@kartracer5g229 No way a driver should be walking on the track like that. Tony has done it himself whenever he’s been wrecked and it could have been Tony but instead of grabbing a race car, the other drivers throw helmets or shin guards at the person’s car that they are mad at. I’m not a Tony fan. My drivers are retired so I just watch to hate on Kyle crybaby Busch. I like wrecks but don’t like deaths.

I don't even watch napcar anymore .. it's gone to far left leaning alienated it's core fan base and ruined the sport as a whole .. when I'm not racing myself I go watch them race on dirt tracks where the talent shows and the pride and appreciation of their fan base... and haha yeah kryle Busch
