Tony Stewart has made NASCAR a lot more entertaining than it would have been if he'd not been a part of it. I miss him as a driver and as a genuine character both on and off the track, but time moves on and things change. Anyway, congratulations, Mr. Stewart.

Honestly, I think Stewart is probably the best overall driver motorsports has ever seen. In his prime, you could literally stick him in any kind of car on any kind of track and he'd be competitive at an elite level.

@@94nolo I just feel like Larson has got a lot more to prove to be able to take that title from Tony. Tony has won titles in both Indy and NASCAR. Larson also has one weakness that Tony never had: he's really struggled on superspeedways. Tony never struggled on any type of track, but Larson has a glaring weakness on superspeedways. Larson is great tho, imo he's the most talented driver on the planet right now.

What the parents did was big and risky so they seen something the world didn't see. We need to stop calling our children's gifts mental illnesses and embrace their gifts. Old fashion families get what I mean. I am so glad he was able to pay his family back. Smoke has an amazing back story to why he made it. The old saying "it takes a village to raise a child" and the village raised a driver.

Tony took the thoughts straight out of my head. I grew up as a youngster in the days of IROC and Days of Thunder. Saw the later years of Prime Dale Earnhardt Sr., Awesome Bill From Dawsonville, Davey, and saw Richard Petty's last race. But as a child I craved any footage and or knowledge I could get my hands on about actual racing on the beach, footage of the winged warriors, and Cale, Bobby, Donnie, David, and everyone else you can think of. Why? Because as a true fan of the sport, I wanted to experience what I'd never had a chance to experience. When the Prelude to the Dream became a reality, that was the greatest racing atmosphere I'd ever seen in my life. Big names, throwing it back on a small track is the coolest thing in the world. Makes the biggest little kid out of me. When Throwback weekend took off, I felt like the sport was headed in the right direction again. Then the Roval came to pass. I thought, the dream of seeing a Cup Race for points on dirt could become a reality. At somewhere like Kansas, Eldora, Bristol or something like that. That would literally be the coolest thing ever.

I suppose it is a nice tribute to drivers that raced when NASCAR was worth watching. Unfortunately the sport has been blemished with princess drivers and constant weekly rule changes that has made watching this sport painful.

Never seen Tony walking on an active track, raising hell? I have. Poor reasoning for excusing the fact Tony gagged the gas and went UP THE TRACK right where he had just WRECKED him. He was trying to show the boy up and unfortunately, his idiotic decision cost Kevin Ward Jr. his life. Tony should be in prison today.

@@logansharpe4440 So............ Redkelly's opinion is that of a loser, while yours isn't? The following is not an opinion, it's a matter of fact. Read it! *BEHOLD!* You moronic murder mongering Tiny Stewart fans..................... *_You've never heard (nor thought) about THIS before._* Few things more frustrating than a caution immediately after passing someone for position. What time, laps, effort you've expended is negated. Worse yet, you've showed your hand. If the guy is worth a damn *_(Kevin Ward Jr was)_* The only certainty you have is what worked before, will not work again. Now..........You've got to find another way by him. Stewart *AND ONLY TONY STEWART* had an inherent reason to specifically look for the black #13. *WHY?* If Ward Jr. didn't cause the caution *_(and there was no way of Stewart knowing)_* Then Stewart has to forfeit the position back to Ward Jr. for the restart. *ABSOLUTE FACT!* And proof positive Stewart is a piece-of-shit who lied about not seeing Ward Jr. *CONFIRMATION!* Tuckdaman11 2 years ago Rayism 24b.. you know I never even thought about the fact that they would revert to the previous lap when caution came out.. *_he would have definitely been looking for ward jr_* *GOOD CATCH!* It's nice to know there are others out there that see what really happened that night. Most brush it off as a dumb kid that shouldn't have been on the track. But if you have been around racing at all one would know it was common place for ward jr to do what he did. And the others that have been around racing are blinded by their fandom for Stewart. Idk I can't explain or figure how people can watch that video and not see what I or you see. It's really disturbing that they don't. Tony Stewart jacking the throttle and spinning his tires is what killed Kevin Ward Jr. Stewart's right rear grabbed Ward's body like a giant soft, hot, sticky, spinning roasted marshmallow. That wouldn't let go. Otherwise *_(if hit at all)_* Ward Jr.gets run over like a speed bump. Stewart switched to Ford cause Chevrolet & Coca-Cola will no-longer have anything to do with him. Dale Earnhardt Sr. wasn't strapped in. Tony Stewart is guilty as sin. *Guaranteed!* I monetarily back my word. We live on a plane, not a planet. Earth is FLAT! kzread.info/dash/bejne/eJalz9ulaa-biLw.html
