You HAVE to try this FAMOUS Osaka Cheesecake

In this Osaka Vlog, we visit Japan's tallest building (yikes!) before walking through Shinsekai and Den-Den Town (aka Nipponbashi) before trying Osaka's famous jiggly cheesecake by Rikuro-Ojisan. We apologize for what comes next...

We had no idea Japan's tallest building was in Osaka at Abeno Harukas (also called Harukas 300)! We knew when we found that out that we had to go up it - and what a view! We were blown away. We managed to find lunch in the basement, which we ate in the nearby Tennoji Park before making a quick visit to the Tennoji Zoo (where Heather studiously avoided the bats).
Afterwards, we walked - A LOT. We emerged from the zoo at Shinsekai, which was pretty busy but not as busy as Nippon Bashi! Where did all these people come from?! From Maid Cafes to Gacha stores to the incredible art, there was no shortage of things to look at! We then returned to Dotonburi to find dinner. It turns out that eating pork buns is really filling! We thought we didn't have any space left, but were drawn in by the line for cheesecake at Rikuro-Ojisan. This cheesecake didn't look like anything we'd ever seen before! We'd never heard of Osaka's "jiggly cheesecake" though now we understand Osaka is kind of famous for it. Since they had a line for fresh-out-of-the-oven cheesecake, we thought it was important to eat it while it was still hot. We apologize for that, Japan!

大阪でbutaman(nikumanとも言います)有名です😊 4:15 日本はなんでもキャラクターにします。

We couldn't communicate - at all. 😂 We used Google Translate as best as we could, and then pointed at things. It usually worked. Many times, we didn't know what we were eating (is this bread? Fried tofu? Pork? 😂). It sort of added to the food adventure, to be honest! We never knew what we were going to get and that was a lot of fun. 😁😁 If you miss out on something, you'll have to go back again someday. 😉

As アリス states, no, don’t eat or drink and walk. There are some exceptions, basically festivals, but even there you won’t actually see it very much. Standing and eating is ok, so long as you’re out of the way. In front of that closed shop like you were was a good choice. Most little sitting areas like the one you were at are usually ok also, though always be mindful of any unexpected rules signs! 😅 I’m glad you guys are so respectful. A lot of foreigners pick up the bad habit of thinking that if they see one bad mannered Japanese/Asian person do something then that must mean it’s ok! 😔
