I am starting to think most of these encounters are from inpatient falsely entitled riders. Have some patience, rev bombs don't work, and use your brakes and not your horn. It's not rocket science.

At the end of the day, if you really think about it. It really doesn't matter who's right, Because it's either you get injured or killed. They'll get on with their life without learning or thinking about you. Look out for yourself and try not to get angry as hard as it is because you can't afford to get mad at the car next to you when you need to look in front of you always.

I see riders lane splitting at high speeds or at speeds considerably higher than the flow of traffic. I don't think they understand that drivers are making moves that they think are safe FOR THE SPEED OF TRAFFIC. So if you are coming up at twice that speed, they may not be taking that into consideration. They don't expect you to come up on them that quickly. I've ridden for 40+ years and have never split lanes, nor will I. I have too much self preservation for it. And I am never in that big of a hurry. That being said, when I am in stop and go traffic, I am always keeping a close eye on the guy behind me and making sure I have an out.

So educational watching all your videos and thinking about the hazards around me. Thank you.

Traveling on shoulder, aka breakdown lane, has been allowed during rush hour on highways in Massachusetts in an attempt to alleviate congestion. For example, a section of highway with only 3 lanes now becomes 4. Obviously, as Dan says, you're more likely to encounter debris...so I wouldn't do it on my bike.

Where I live it's "verge filtering", and just like other filtering it's allowed when all vehicles are travelling 30kph and below (rider and vehicles being passed), but unlike lane filtering it's only allowed where the posted limit is 90+ and there is no kerb present. At that speed, on those roads, it's very safe to do provided cars don't cut you off because they don't know it's legal and get angry

But if you see it rather late and are going really fast, I would not try to swerve around it, as it might cause a serious accident if you still hit it but are now on a leaned motorcycle rather than an upright one.

Rev bombing doesn't replace a good loud horn. Rev bombing won't make your hazard get out of the way. Rev bombing won't replace a good swerve to an escape route. Rev bombing and waving your angry arms won't remove you from a hazardous situation. Rev bombing is hard on your engine. Rev bombing won't make your front brake function better.

22:12 I do have a lot of sympathy for the rider here; I've commuted many, many winters on two wheels in the UK. There is nothing worse when you're tired, it's a cold, wet and generally a miserable commute and perhaps your gear has started to saturate. It's always those days where it seems like cars are really out to get you, and the close near-misses occur. The only advice I can give is at that point, you're already cold/wet/miserable. It's one of the big downsides of two-wheels; you are going to get cold, you are going to get wet. You've just got to make peace with it, and rushing, getting angry and trying to fight for road position won't get you home any faster, in fact being cold and wet reduces your focus, so instead of thinking about how crappy the ride is, focus on being safe. As miserable as it can be, those are the times for slow and steady.

You're wrong on Raven riders, it's a single lane so the car isn't 'taking his position' after pulling out on him, he's way way too close and being overly aggressive, he's swapping sides way too close, so if they'd have brakes he's hitting them. He saw the initial issue well but then should have rolled straight off and slowed down to increase the distance as well as keeping a side position. You can see he's going straight to the horn, straight to looking to catch them to argue. That aggressive manner then costs him as he's going too fast past stationary traffic and meets someone else making that turn too quickly and going for the horn crashes. If he'd have been going slower, bearing in mind you've the risk of pedestrians crossing through the cars, and braked he'd potentially have avoided the crash altogether . The horn on a bike and rev bombing is a total waste of time to focus on braking instead.

I don't think he was advocating for the behavior of the biker fighting for the lane, but rather was commenting on the actions they were taking to avoid certain specific dangers. Almost like a hypothetical if the car was doing this or that (minus the aggression from the biker) what should we do type of thing. From having watched the vast majority of his videos he doesn't always speak in absolute, if he had to explain every detail of every encounter it would take much longer, so he seems to opt for explaining portions of the video. Think you are correct in most of your assessment but I did just want to point that out as well.

I saw a crazy video by some guy driving a car in India it was moderate traffic (Indian traffic). So he was in the car and he checked all 3 of his mirrors but he was not able to see a rider who was in the next lane a little behind him. So he showed all of it on camera but he already knew there was a rider behind him. But it really goes to show there is a blind spot which happens a lot. So my fellow riders please dont go on to blame everyone you see on the road.

"Never mind, just saw that the driver was jumping a curb with an illegal turn." Maybe; but the motorcycle should not have attempted to overtake in a single lane where passing is prohibited anyway. Why would the motorist even consider the possibility that a motorcycle is using the median strip as his personal racetrack?

The rider at the 10:40 mark was just going to fast. If cars are barely moving slow way down.

Riding and on the shoulder was something I perceived was a homeless person slumped over. Turned out to be just a crazy bag of trash with a hoodie sitting on top. Did not hit it but it was def a red stage moment.

I think the worst thing you can do on a motorcycle. He’s have a phone anywhere is near the rider. at 60 miles, an hour, your moving at 88 feet per Second a Car can stop Four times faster than a motorcycle. If you look at your phone for one second you’ve moved nine car ieanth I would never mount a phone on my handlebars. It’s stupid, distracted, driving

18:01 You don't have the right of way lane filtering, and people in cars aren't looking for that. It's your responsibility not to hit other vehicles.

Why do riders speed through traffic and get mad when someone switches lanes and leaves them room to get over? Y’all, we gotta SLOW DOWN.

This Angel or Not dude is way too sensitive and careless to be riding in NYC. You get cut off by a car/truck/bike/pedestrian/rat basically every 30 seconds here - can't get enraged every single time, you avoid the hazard then go on with your day. And no, lane splitting is not legal in NY, many drivers will go out of their way to block you from lane splitting, and NYPD sets up traps specifically to catch lane splitting riders.

i truly hate all these riders who had kilometers of chance to brake and chose to ignore an incoming car or turning car. As a car driver and as a bike rider, i truly hate all them. They're not the fucking owners of the streets.

I started my comment with : "I like this channel". And I really think it is useful for many, even if I lost interest in it. Then I continued with the clickbait thing just because I thought it is so obvious it won't hurt anyones feelings. Maybe he will be critical enough to think differently just because half of his titles are like this. But it is obvious that my message went on the wrong way. I would say it is just not cool enough if I say something I didn't liked, but probably nobody would care about that neither.
